Nice, Randy! I forgot about Van the Man, and I have that one too. It is a fantastic LP as you say. Paul Kelly-Gossip, that is a great record. Some artists here are new to me (Tom Russell, P. Huxley), and great stories behind each LP. Nicely done 😎🎶

@@onmyturntable7036 Thanks. Van Morrison is my favorite artist, so that’s actually the first one I thought of. I have about all of Paul Kelly’s albums but most are on CD. I have all of Tom Russell’s albums but only the one for Huxley. Even though I really liked his album, I didn’t keep track of his career.

Didn't know Huxley. Don't have any Hitchcock either. Orbison was from the big town of Wink, Tx. I've never been there, but sort of lived out around that area. I'll have to check out some Russell, sounds like something I'd enjoy. That is a nice cover of Buddy Guy. Good showing. Albums that were pretty varied. Thanks Randy.

If you are into Americana and singer/songwriter material, he is definitely someone to check out. He was a favorite of David Letterman and appeared on his show several times. You can catch them on KZbin. I didn’t keep up with Huxley; that is the only album I have of his. I had a couple of Orbison’s hits collections but now I’m trying to pick up his albums. I knew he was a Texas native. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Randy, a great batch of covers. I only have the Roy Orbison and the Van Morrison LPs. I don't know why I didn't think of Roy. I have a CD of the Robyn Hitchcock. Thanks, Chris

Van is my favorite artist, so he was the first one that came to mind. They have been reissuing Roy’s catalog and that was one of the ones I picked up. I’ve been trying to pick up any Robyn Hitchcock I come across. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Hi Randy - I chose that Van Morrison, before I opted for an all-Canadian lineup. That's the only one I own out of the ones you showed. I used to have a Robyn Hitchcock CD. I wonder what happened to it...

Never heard of Parthenon Huxley, what a name, sounds like some kind of fictional detective. Paul Kelly rings a bell but I could not tell you where I might have heard of him. That is a very cool axe Buddy Guy has there, I have never seen one with polka dots on it before. Great response, cheers!

@@FatCityVinyl I’m pretty sure that isn’t his real name but it is certainly unique. There is also a soul singer named Paul Kelly too. The Australian Paul Kelly got some MTV play with his album Under The Sun which is how I discovered him. I thought the photos of Buddy Guy really stood out on that album cover.

Nice response Randy. Parthenon Huxley, wow never seen anyone show one of his records. I actually saw him play live with ELO part 2 in Leeds back in the day, he was pretty good. To he fair I don't think he was brought in to replace Jeff Lynne as such. In fact there'd been at least three guys on guitar in that band before him including Pete Haycock from Climax Blues Band and Phil Bates from Trikster. I just got Robyn Hitchcock's autobiography '1967'. Saint Dominics Preview, hadnt thought of that one. Cheers.

Thanks for the information on ELO Part 2 as I really didn't know the history or have I heard any of their music. I really like the Parthenon Huxley album even though that is the only one that I have. Robyn Hitchcock is someone that I have really got into in the last couple of years. Actually Saint Dominics Preview was the first one I thought about. Thanks for providing the thread.
