Wut I hate about Mark Farner. He's a man of gOD. You know the one I'm talking about. The murderer gOD. The one who kills everyone and every living thing on earth except for Noah and his girlfriend and 2 of every species on earth (how they fit every species on Earth on an Arch is beyond me but hey, who am I .....) . Every creeping thing, everything, cattle, etc., all aboard! Oh you didn't know gOD was a murderer? Well, try reading the gODdamn bible !

In 1990, when I was 15 years old, I was digging through my old man's record collection in the basement. I stumbled upon this album called Survival by a group named Grand Funk Railroad. I had never heard of them before. But I just looked at the cover and saw these three fucking badass looking guys posing outside of a cave. I had to listen to it. I was curious to hear Gimme Shelter because I had heard the Stones' version before. Grand Funk's version blew me away a hundred times more.

The first Grand Funk Railroad album I got, was the album 'On Time'. When 'Survival' was released, I thought their version of "Gimme Shelter" was better than the original(Merry Clayton's backup singing made the Stones version what it is). Back at that time I thought they were the greatest. I stayed a fan of GFR through 'Good Singin, Good Playin'. I will always think that Mark Farner can hold his own with any of the so-called guitar greats. He's a GUITAR MASTER and was the main attraction for Grand Funk. I'm sorry to tell Don and Mel that after the breakup of the band, they should have come up with a new name, because without Mark Farner, Don and Mel AREN'T Grand Funk Railroad. After all the years in court fighting Terry Knight, Don and Mel should have learned to be better men.
