The Spencer Davis Group's bassist, Muff Winwood said his younger brother Stevie wrote the 1966 smash hit 'Gimme Some Lovin' in less than an hour when he was only 17. Not only did Steve Winwood write the song, but he also sang the lead vocal and played the organ. This is one of the very first songs HIGH SOCIETY played as teenagers back in 1968. Now 56 years later, the recently re-united HIGH SOCIETY band gave this great song a complete overhaul, and it's still just as much fun to play now as it was then.
