"Live Out-Take", omg. I do a lot of work as a recording engineer, and this complete, uninterrupted live outtake is better than 99.8% of final takes by people recording nowadays - takes that are painstakingly compiled, literally phrase by phrase, from countless takes recorded in ideal conditions with unlimited interruptions, do overs, punch-ins and post recording autotune fixes. And here you have John walking up to the mic and belting out a better take complete, and then probably goes on to record an even better one on the next go.
@dallajohnsonalvarez4598 Жыл бұрын
John lennos también hacia eso, en el mismo documental de este disco se le ve eligiendo partes de distintas tomas para las canciones

Other examples - his vocal on All You Need is Love, done live for 1st satellite broadcast. Lennon is chewing gum, going live and they're using it for the recorded version. George Martin gives the go ahead and Lennon belts out a perfect take, with gum still in mouth. On the recently released Abbey Road remaster with lots of extras and demos - Lennon effortlessly does newly penned Ballad of John and Yoko perfectly in one take.
@thevincentgonzalesplan3 жыл бұрын
There are "cancel culture" people who want to call John out on his abusive and angry behavior during his younger years, but John has always admitted he was a flawed human being, and he regretted much of his nasty side in many Beatle and Post-Beatle interviews. He was trying to atone for his actions by becoming a peace activist, not hiding them. There is a marked difference. His words are all out there, and thankfully for us all, they are more relevant than ever.
@allright65783 жыл бұрын
Great comment. I'd also say that almost all things about John Lennon is exaggerated. For an example, his relationship with Cynthia, everyone when trying to killing John Lennon's reputation or show his "dark side" talks about it. So let's get started. People use to argue that he beat up his wife. And that's true, it's a terrible thing. But he apologized to her 1 mln times. But one thing those people don't know, is she forgave him in an interview. I know, it doesn't take away the fact he did it. But he admitted that, and he made what he said he would do, which is he would never touch her again. The end. He improved at this point. I don't think people should hate him for that since Cynthia herself said about it, and forgave him. In short, water under the bridge.
