Sooo....it seems like there might be a bug in the newest version of Gimp - 2.10.10. When I put the advised settings in for the radial motion blur it throws a fatal error and closes the program. The new version is different in that the filters have separate selections for linear, circular (radial), and zoom blur, so I made a few assumptions, but I'm still a relative newbie, so can you see a work-around, or is it a real bug?

Excellent. I'm thinking this approach could be used to create a nice gold or bronze background.

Hi, I don't seem to have motion blur, just circular motion blur but the options don't appear like yours do? Do I need to do something else?

Thanks so much for your videos, Nick! I love how you explain everything. But is there a way to make this in Inkscape?
@LogosByNick4 жыл бұрын
No unfortunately this cannot be done with Inkscape. You need a raster graphics editor for this.

I managed to make it linear instead of radial - in other words, I made it go in one direction. All I did was use a linear motion blur instead of a circular one, and I changed the gradient to "Crown molding".

I‘d be tempted to just use a google image for a steel texture. B this is a great way to DIY for that original feeling. Let there be steel!

I would be careful grabbing images off of Google. It's mostly copyrighted material, and if you get caught using something from a stock photo site they will come after you with lawyers. I recommend using a site like Pixabay or Wikimedia Commons.

OK i am back to gimp, inkscape gave me headache. GIMP is user friendly and easy to use, inkscape, oh my its sooo hard. Ai will have to wait till i get a grip on inkscape
@alpacino48574 жыл бұрын
good trick but for the tutorial, you moved too fast and always circle the mouse making it difficult to focus where you gonna click next. Should slow down abit.
