Thank you for these more advanced photo editing technique tutorials. I was able to use the combination of things learned from this one and the Sun Rise on to create a sunset image with sky replacement. I edit only on Linux (Korora) and would love to see more advanced photo editing tutorials. Yours are the best I have found for GIMP.

It depends what your goals are. I recommend Adobe software for people who want to be employed in the industry and have the money and CPU resources for it. 99.99% of companies use Adobe software. It's the industry standard. I recommend Inkscape & GIMP for people who want to freelance or start their own company, or work in similar fields where they occasionally need graphics (bloggers, photographers, social media managers, KZbinrs, etc.)
