I like the Gin Matsuba as well. Simple but elegant! Maybe you should watch this video where I explain a lot of different varieties in short clips: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4PGmpV8p8yledU

Ik bred a gemalen soragoi (with one Brown Fin) with a Doitsu Tancho Sanke. Outcome whas matsuba, soragoi, Gin-Rin soragoi, Gin-Rin Matsuba, Tancho Sanke, Sanke and soragoi with Brown.

Bought one as well but as a 3inch one. Bit shy compared to my harawaki though not seen it much

It will probably get better over time. These tend to be more gready while rating and will come to you easier. Well at least on average. Good Luck with it!

The darker pine cone pattern seems to only come to a little bit less than the halfway point for some and some seem to have the pine cone pattern that goes further towards the belly. Does the darker pine cone pattern ever extend further down or will it remain the same? Idk if my question makes sense😂
@Aboutkoi3 жыл бұрын
Yes it makes sense! it will surely develop itself a little bit more. But overall, you will see on all Koi that the more down towards the belly, the less visible the pattern will be.

Is it preferred that the head is clear in any color of matsuba?
@Aboutkoi3 жыл бұрын
Yes, indeed! No grey of black should be visible at a young age

Hello Sir. I hope you are well. I do like the Gin Matsuba Verity. I like to think of it as the perfect Koi, simply due to one factor that I love. The scales basically stop at the shoulder area and it is like a perfect curve. It is very symmetrical. Of course I also like it more when the head is more white. Thank you very much for sharing this, I really appreciate it very much. Sorry I am late, I have been preoccupied helping a fellow FishTuber fix up his channel. Sorry. #37th #Like is now up! Stay safe and take care Sir.
@Aboutkoi3 жыл бұрын
That is indeed true, very nice symmetrical scalation is visible! Do you have GIn Matsuba in your own pond? Thanks for your comment and stay safe! See you in the new video ;)

@@Aboutkoi It is always a pleasure to Watch, comment and give you my support Sir. Unfortunately I do not have any Him Matsuba. At the moment I still only have the Two Goshiki I told you about, however I am trying to save money so I can buy another Two Koi. Definitely, see you in the next video. Stay safe and have a nice day Sir.

I have a Gin Matsuba but it isn't as white as yours and have a hi patern, is still a gin matsuba??
@Aboutkoi3 жыл бұрын
Yes it still should be a gin matsuba if it only has a few hi (red) scales. It might also be that you own a Kujaku, do you know that variety?
@legendaryplumber42613 жыл бұрын
@@Aboutkoi yeaah I have a 13 inch Male Kujaku, but I noticed once again which I think is a gin matsuba that I mentioned has some shiro spots ☹, I guess is not even decent quality (I have a mini koi farm btw, I own close to 3,500 Kois

@Microplus4613 жыл бұрын
Verry Nice, i learned a lot. Ik have matsuba tosai. The White one, the White with Gin-Rin and the yellow. Yellow is stil light but is improving. Hoe do u call a White matsuba with Gin-Rin. A Gin-Rin Matsuba?
@Aboutkoi3 жыл бұрын
Very nice! A white Matsuba with ginrin is called a 'ginrin matsuba' or a 'ginrin gin matsuba' indeed. That's a cool variety for sure!
@ayk19102 жыл бұрын
Hi, I have been watching your video for my guide quite a while. thank you for detail explanation. I am considering to buy Matsuba koi, is it better to buy Gin matsuba or Ki Matsuba koi? Thank you
@Aboutkoi2 жыл бұрын
Glad I could help! That's a difficult question. It depends on what you prefer. Gin matsuba is more white looking. Ki Matsuba is yellow. It fully depends on what you like most

Oh no! Luckily it was just 'almost' a broken neck 😉. Yes he does have more of these nicely deep red painted Matsuba's! Nice breeder to get this variety from
