Many forget that aside from Toshiro, Gin is also a prodigy. Killing a third seat of squad 5 at the very young age is insane. 😊

To be fair, prodigy does not even come close to describe Gin and Toshiro. In terms of talent, they aren't just any captain, and all captains are prodigies. Hell even being a lieutenant means you're likely among the top 30 in Soul Society, which is worthy to be qualified "prodigy". Even Jidanbou, a guy who's not even lieutenant level, gets hyped up by Yoruichi as basically a living legend. Let that sink in, people who, by all accounts, are prodigies might as well be talentless trash compared to Toshiro and Gin. Even when talking about prodigies among prodigies they're special.

It’s funny, because when you really think about it, Aizen’s interest in Ichigo would never have been so shocking if Ichigo just took one second to ask why he had such amazing power. Even Byakuya wondered after meeting him a couple of times, but Ichigo acts like it’s normal for a human to be born with power rivaling Soul Reaper captains and Vasto Lorde level hollows.

[Tidbits & Clarifications] - Kubo here is showing again his mastery of manipulating the audience. Aizen was about to reveal something that Ichigo is, then we see Isshin appear. Obviously many people assume that Aizen means Ichigo is "Human and Shinigami" but this is a misdirect because once Ichigo and Isshin actually talk, it's obvious that the secret is something else, Ichigo says "Until you feel like telling me" and Isshin said to Aizen "you talk to much" So it should be clear that whatever else Ichigo is, Isshin isn't ready to tell him and he didn't want Aizen saying it either. - Gin's Bankai name is "Kamishini no Yari" which in English means "God Killing Spear", that's important to remember. - Gin's "Bankai" is much scarier than people give it credit for, an interesting difference between his Bankai and most is that it's not accompanied by some crazy visual change so it's hard to know whether it's active. Plus with such crazy speed he can snipe people at any moment, like he can cut through a city in a flash so imagine if he attacks someone who isn't aware that he's there.

By the way, in chapter 397 of the manga, Aizen said to Ichigo, "BECAUSE YOU ARE THE OFFSPRING OF A SHINIGAMI ANDー''. But in chapter 398, it was changed to "BECAUSE YOU ARE THE OFFSPRING OF A HUMAN AND Aー".

If anything they decided to change the script entirely. edit: nevermind, i checked the official translation, and it says "human" as well. So there wasn't any error at all. You must've read some fan translations.😂

@sasailicc but ppl while they do assess Gin strength here It's not accurate, as Aizen said, Ichigo should be able to output much higher power than this. Which is true. Gin knows that Ichigo fears his power and the Hollow, that's why later on Gin was disappointed..he grew so much and yet grew so afraid. Ichigo having the potential to stop Aizen but cuz of the psychological difficulties of Ichigo, Gin decided at the end to tell him to scram

Gin had open his eyes before a few times prior but it was red and that on the anime part cause they didn't know what color his eyes were in fact in some of the early bleach games Gin's eyes were Yellowish green but in one of the manga covers Gin eyes were blue
