In this tutorial I am demonstrating a straight pour. There is no silicone in this piece. The cells are caused by a reaction between the paints known in the world of fluid dynamics as the Rayleigh-Taylor Instability. I'm using Liquitex Basics Pthalo Blue, Titanium WHite, Artist's Loft Old Gold and Golden Pthalo Green. I am also using DecoArt Satin Enamel Pure White which is the big cell maker in this painting and the paint that gives the cloud effect cells. All paints mixed 1paint:2Floetrol then thinned with 90%water/10%floetrol mixture.

I LOVED this piece Gina! One of your very BEST in my humble opinion! Definitely "Show Worthy"! This is an ocean wave with a vortex to me. Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. I would love to do this. I wish it were not so costly. Also, there seems to be so much to learn, right down to putting panty hose onto the bottle tops of your mixes and Flotrol. Who knew!??? I did my first acrylic pour painting a couple of nights ago and it did not work out. My paint was too thick (I tried before learning about the importance of how thick/thin the paint should be.), I didn't use enough paint, and I didn't have a torch. I tried using a torch lighter but it was tiny. I tried cutting corners on cost by going to the dollar store. They don't have the larger torch lighters. Now I have a painting with canvas showing through holes. If anyone can suggest what to do next to make it into something I'd appreciate it. Also, I've learned not to let it dry directly in the paint pools that dripped from the canvas. I have these puddles that I have to shave off from around the frame of the canvas. LOL Firsts are always the BEST!

This is just gorgeous. The contrast for me especially which the No 200 did not have. And this composition with the little negative space is attractive. I admired your works since I believe 2017 when you attempted to do a Zebra winding pour, I believe you are the best in making circle pour. Thank you also for letting us know what you use .
