Having the same issue after having used a Roku device for many years. Last year Roku discontinued the old models AND shut them off so I could no longer use it. I purchased the same Roku as in this video (Roku Express) and only get no signal. I have researched this issue on and off for literally a year, tried every troubleshooting fix, etc. Finally purchased an Amazon Firestick and having the same problem. I don't have other TVs to test them on.

The Roku is a one-time purchase with no additional fees. However, the streaming networks that can be played by Roku often do ie. Netflix, Prime Video, etc. There is a lot of free content that can be accessed and you can also watch KZbin on it. I think the Roku in this video is Roku Express. It's the least expensive model and what I purchased when Roku discontinued and shut down their previous models that I'd had for years.

Guys, don't make the same mistake that I made. short version: if you don't have money for a good smart tv, do what this guy does. put a roku on a regular tv. Save your $$!! long version: I wanted the smartTV experience without spending a whole lot. So I bought a brand new, in box, CHEAP SMART TV. It is a no-name brand, but I thought what the heck, its 2022 and the screen looks real nice, I'll take a gamble. Well... it sucks. The speakers are real cheap (my cell phone sounds better). The software on it is android tv (which I thought was a good thing) but it appears to be an early version of android tv because it is super slow. I mean there is noticable lag or latency between pushing a button and the TV reacting to it. Sometimes more than 2 or 3 seconds. My daughter is 5 and she hates it (so do I). The only good thing is the screen, it is decent for playing Xbox or watching a movie. so in hindsight, keeping in mind I didn't want to spend more $ on a good TV, I could have just bought a used regular old Digital TV (not SmartTV but with HDMI like the one in this video) You can find them on marketplace for real cheap because everyone wants a Smart TV now. then just put a Roku on it. Lesson learned.

You would have to use your phone as a hotspot if you're playing anything off the internet.. you could download stuff to your phone where they have Wi-Fi and play that on the TV through the Roku device..

Number one you never describe what model of Roku you have because my screen looks completely different than yours when you speak of Roku you cannot speak in a general fashion because every Roku device works in a different way from what I can see you have the latest version which has a lot more features than any of the older versions due based on the Lenix software is installed on these devices so you need to specify because all you’re doing is confusing people which makes your video completely useless anybody else that has an old Roku!
