Who else has been totally invested in Jenna’s bread baking adventures on Instagram? Also, my fav Christmas tradition is this: my town is named after a park that runs through it with a river and waterfalls. Every year for Christmas they completely deck the place out with Christmas lights. No tree is left un-Christmas-lighted! Every Christmas Eve my whole family goes down to the park to see the lights even though it’s absolutely freezing! Were talking multiple layers of everything, blankets, and my mom makes homemade hot cocoa. You can even drive through the park and turn on a special radio station in your car that plays Christmas music which will match up to the flashing of the lights on the trees. It’s such a magical place and I look forward to it every year!!

My favourite holiday tradition is getting into my parents bed with all of my siblings (there is 4 of us) on Christmas Day to open gifts. We’re all 23+ years old so it’s getting quite tight on the bed. It sounds weird but it’s something silly and fun and I love it.

My favorite Christmas tradition is attending a candlelight service and singing "Silent Night." You realize the power of community and that you're never alone even if you're surrounded by strangers. It makes the world feel like a better place and gives you a lot of hope. Everybody is welcome. It's not an exclusive "church people" only thing.

My “newish” favorite holiday tradition began when my husband and I started dating 11 years ago. We decorate a tree with solar lights and ornaments and place it at his fathers gravesite, he passed away while my husband was a teenager. Over the years his mother would help me decorate but she passed away earlier this year so this year we made the decorations extra special. We always make it a point to honor the ones who are no longer with us.

I spend every Christmas morning with my parents. I spend the night at there place, we have bagels and cappuccinos. My grandparents come over and we spend the morning surrounded by one another. We moved to Chicago this year and are still traveling to spend the morning with them. It’s wonderful being able to share this with my wife, and this year is extra special because my niece was just born in October. Family traditions hold strong in my family and I’m incredibly thankful.

My favorite family Christmas tradition is this: ever since the first year we’ve been married, my wife and I have made a gingerbread house and put letters to each other in there talking about how blessed we are to have them. Then on Christmas we smash the house with a hammer and read the letters. We now do 5 houses including our kids and it is so much fun!

Our favorite Christmas tradition has been to add an ornament to our family tree every year, and have it be something that really was impacting in our life. This year we added a memorial ornament for my fur baby that passed in Feb after having him 11 years. It’s sad, but also a way to remember him in such a beautiful way! 💙🐶💙

My favorite holiday tradition is all the baking my husband and I do. We spend about 3 days baking and make dozen and dozens of cookies, pretzels, bourbon balls and candies and give tins to all of our coworkers, neighbors friends and family! It’s a ton of work but it’s so rewarding to see how much people look forward to it and to know something home made makes them just as happy as a store bought gift! Plus every year we try new recipes and decorating techniques and it’s great time together while listening to Christmas music!

Holiday tradition: I love how obsessed my mom is with making struffoli. Every year she makes several batches- she always forgets if it needs baking soda or powder so she makes both. Every year she ends with with like a VAT, we each eat one, we remember that none of us like struffoli, and we swear not to make any next year. My dad, like a champ, eats the mound of struffoli and gamely tells my mom it’s the best yet and he loves it- I know the truth, he hates it but loves making her feel like she’s the best cook (she is) and Baker (she is not) so he eats it all. I love the way he loves her.

My family is spread out in 5 different states: Georgia, Kentucky, Colorado, South Carolina and North Carolina. Each year, we all gather together in South Carolina at my Uncle’s house to auction off gag gifts everyone buys and wraps. No one knows what the heck they are bidding on...which makes it all the more fun. Some gifts are handmade. Some gifts are stupid funny, while some are sentimental and heart warming. We take all the money that is raised at the auction and donate it to the Salvation Army. Each year my Uncle gets a letter from the Salvation Army thanking us for our contribution. It’s my favorite holiday tradition because we’ve been doing this for many, many years and it always teaches us the importance of giving and the importance of making the commitment to come together as family. This takes place in a tiny basement in a little house in a little town. But the memories are BIG and the laughter is loud. This is what the holidays, for me, are all about.

My absolute favorite Christmas tradition is spending the entire Christmas Day with my family. We open presents, make crepes for breakfast, and then all of my siblings (there’s 6 of us) spend the rest of the day playing board games together. We’re all adults now, so it’s awesome to just have a whole day to be around each other and have fun.

My twin and I go every year to my Grandmas nursing home and play holiday songs on our trumpets. Even though she passed 17 years ago and I’m 30.....we still do it. We consider it a success when the residents that were awake stayed awake and the ones that were asleep stayed asleep. We love knowing that the joy my grandma expierienced is still being felt by the other patients even if it’s just for a few hours. We love the channel and think you guys are awesome!!

My favorite holiday tradition is bringing all different sides of our families together. My husband and I both come from divorced and remarried families. Each year we get to bring everyone together, and put differences aside. We now have 2 daughters of our own so it’s great that we can show them how amazing a family can be no matter the circumstances :)
