Hi KZbin Family and Friends,
In today's video I'm trying my hand at Cottage Core. Though I do think it's a lot like farmhouse with a classic style.

I everything came out beautiful!! Especially loved the home sign and would look great as a set with the shutters with them as well. Those ironing boards are also just great, a different flip on those Welcome door leaners and I'm sure we have all done that with our lettering, I know I have. I am very surprised that even after using a paint and primer base paint that you are still having to use that much shellac, but I will keep that in mind as I am refinishing an older piece that the stain looks very orange/red to me, not sure of the type of wood but I'll be painting so I'll make sure I have some shellac on hand in case after priming I still get bleed through.

I feel like maybe the kitchy farmhouse is waning. Less pigs and cows, more botanical or even plain. Cottage Core means literally cozy. All your things are cozy. And here in the Midwest, the pigs and cows will still be popular for a while. 😀. Thanks again for sharing.

Man it is so hard to choose I love everything ❤, but if I had to pick just one it would be the wreath and home, then the flowers, I didn't think it would look good in black but it does, its beautiful. I do this in California. There are so many extra costs that add up. Booth fees and possibly a percentage that they take from you? The cost of your time and paint? Your prices are waaaaaay too low. You might want to test the market.. if a product goes really fast, you could probably raise the price next time you have a similar item. It seems like you are paying yourself about $3 an hour💔
@GingerChickRehab
@GingerChickRehab 3 жыл бұрын
Oh.. California would definitely be much different the small town Michigan. Our booth rental is very reasonable and we don’t have to pay a percentage. And actually we tried up our prices because a few viewers suggested that we we low.. and they did not sell. Just actually lowered our prices back down. For us it does all even out in the end and we are very happy with our profit. But of course who wouldn’t like to make more

I always love, Love, LOVE the reveals when you pick up the stencils!!! I wonder what it would look like if you flipped the stencil over so all the flowers were not all going the same direction??? You really are inspirering! After I watch one of your videos I can't wait to try one of your ideas! I love that I am learning how to solve so many of the issues I've run into in past projects. Things like dealing with bleed through of old stain. I thought all I could do was keep painting over it and you can imagine what a mess that turns into. Now I seal it first and what a wonderful difference that makes. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Keep doing what you love and loving what you do!

You can buy stencil vinyl for Cricut it doesn’t take off the paint. Wood is expensive in U.K. too . Love that you show fails not many ppl would. Great items and yet again great prices ❤️😊

When you paint those items white and then stencil them and pull of the tape, my heart races and I get so excited! Simply beautiful. Great ladders. Makes me want to get in my car and drive to Michigan! I live in Mississippi! Lol

When do you use Durham Water Putty and when do you use spackling?? I noticed you filled the holes with spackling on the shutters.

You may have noticed it because I didn’t do black underneath. But I was trying to get rid of the hole. I don’t remember it dipping down. But I guess you noticed something I didn’t

Too funny. Just got through painting four of those exact shutters 2 days ago and it took 4 coats as well. Love all your projects.

Great job again. I don’t think I ever saw you distress anything with an electric sander. Most people go overboard doing that. You did a great job, those were some large projects.

Absolutely beautiful! I like your take on cottage core more than anyone else's. To me it always looks grandma gaudy. Yours is classic neutral and just beautiful! Thanks for all you do.

Beautiful transformations, as always! I find that full on cottage core is not my thing but would buy and of your pieces to fit into my decor. You always have such a great vision and follow through with skill and attention to detail.
