Gingerman: Episode 227- Largo Law

After three years of filming, I finally set to climb Largo Law, the final peak in Fife I have left to climb. This extinct volcano is possibly my favourite of the lot, with views across the forth that cant be matched.

You can see my cottage on your drone footage. I've climbed Largo Law a few times and it's always much harder than you think it's going to be....very steep! But, like you say, great views from the summit.

I have ancestors and relatives buried in that cemetery as they came from Newgilston and Upper Largo

Cool seeing it again ; did this when I was wee ; I mean 9ish . My brother insisted he couldn't leave me half way up haha. But to be at the top standing on the top of that stone felt awesome. I think I slept like a log for days after it. Now that I am older and have seen cotton and monkshood and brilliant heather in the Lomonds it's cool that I can watch younger thighs do the walking climbing and recording for me. Cheers again and look forward to the Ochils. I always look to the top of Largo Law to see if we are going to have rain.

They don’t tell you about the flees in the long grass that bite you we did that hill 6 years ago when we were on holiday from Australia ,good stuff keeps you fit you get a sense of accomplishment (we did it )

Every year there is a race from the Crusoe Hotel to the top of the law and back and it has been done in less than an hour. You will have to up your game.😆

Have you done Norman’s Law (285m), situated between Newburgh and Wormit? Fantastic views of the River Tay.
