I believe now in the market there is a newer model or sequel to this one you are presenting, the Ninebot Max G30D II. Just got mine today. Yes, there is loctite on the threads, which is cool that they decided to fix the issue. Did my first ride and boy is it fun. Even tried the max speed of about 33km/h or so on, it got kinda wobbly in that speed but again, my first ride ever on a electric scooter. Another thing is, the bloody thing is quite heavy so I'd advice everyone to keep other road users in mind while blazing around on this thing and info that you are coming past, the bell is ideal for that. You never know when some kid decides to veer on your path. Other than that fact, very enjoyable ride. Oh and also, had some trouble getting air into the tyres, don't know if the extension piece for the tyre valves was broken or what, gotta find another way to fill 'em up accurately. But all in all, I think it's worth the money. Gonna have a blast going fishing with this thing this summer! Safe rides everyone!
@GingerOnWheels3 жыл бұрын
That is cool they added the loctite! I recommend getting a digital air pump. They have built in valve extenders so it makes attaching the hose much easier. You just set the psi you want and push okay and they do all the work.
@johnstover45842 жыл бұрын
I got the Xiaomi electric air compressor and didn't have to use the extender that came with it. The compressor already has one. It's nice to be able to get an accurate read. You don't want to over pump or under pump the tires. It can cause flats.

To fix the bell rattle. 1. Take a smoke Pipe cleaning string, the one with metall core in, and cotton on. 3. Make a ring, same diameter as handle bar 4.Put it between the bell and rubber gripp. 5. Push bell against it. 5. And the brake lever push against the bell. Did that on my G30E II after 2days. Still works 2 month later and over 1300km. No rattle.

I tried the Ninebot Max but found the Turbowheel Swift+ (ewheels) superior in most categories at the same price. I weigh around 200 pounds and found that this scooter is a great fit! It hits 19mph without hesitation. It climbs fairly steep hills without a problem in S mode. It is comfortable and feels very sturdy and the app is super easy to use. There are only 2 things that I’d change on the scooter. I’d like the handlebars to be wider as it is a pretty fast scooter and could use wider bars. I’d also like the headlight to shine a little bit higher rather than just spotlighting the ground directly in front of the scooter.

Just ordered one, this detailed review tipped it over. Thanks especially for the details notes about parts, the hackability, and the water resistance (important for Vancouver). I was hesitant about the G30 due to its Xiaomi m365 heritage, that being what I'm upgrading from. Fortunately, the two things about that scooter which suck - the tires and the flimsy stem latch - have been upgraded. (Though you did give me a bit of a scare when you said they needed Loctite on those stem bolts, I was afraid they'd gone and poured all their Loctite Red on the front wheel bearings again - the ones you have to break free to change the front tire >:( ) This time I'll be getting it from a local shop, who at least are better equipped for repairs than I am.

Looks like I'm almost a year late seeing this... however, great review and very much apprecited. I have two G30's and can agree with all of your comments. I'm 6'4" and right at the weight limit and the front latching assembly on the scooter I ride most often is definitely struggling to manage the abuse I subject it to. Even slightly more robust components would go a long way to improve that mechanism. But other than getting loose, nothing has failed. I would ask other owners to look at the alignment of the handlebars to the front wheel. On both of mine it is a little off. One to the left, and the other to the right. Is that common?

Yikes! And I thought we had tough laws here in Sweden. Here we are allowed to have it running in 45 km/h, but then it's considered a moped and then you need license tag and insurance. You are also not allowed to use it on sidewalks then, only on the road. However, if you chose the 25 km/h version, then you don't need a license plate, only insurance. And you can use it on side walks as well. And if you chose the 20 km/h version then you don't need anything, no license plate and no insurance, and you can drive it wherever you like, side walks, etc. The reason why is because it's considered a bicyckle then, so all the same rules apply as for bicyckles. I guess scooter life is better then I expected here in Sweden after all.. ;)

@goldrush57644 жыл бұрын
Well, you won't have an insurance if you use it here I guess. The thing is that the reason you don't need an insurance here in Sweden for these if they do 20 km/h is because the home insurance will cover if you crash. I don't think your german house insurance will cover if you crash over here. I think it's better that you rent one here instead, if you are planning to go to a larger city because there you will be able to rent one.

Great review. Would love to see a review of the new G30LP version.For example whether the small difference in weight enough to improve accelleration/climbing as well as portability to a significant degree.

The G30 has a longer deck area than the G30LP. The G30 also weight a little more.

I'm really loving my Max. I have a Gen 2 and did the CFW upgrade plus changed the serial number and I'm getting 23 mph on 100% battery! (6' 1" and 200 lbs) After 90% it drops to 21 mph and so on. I'll def be upgrading the battery to 48v eventually, but for now I'm pretty happy. It's perfect for my commutes in NY to work and back home in any weather condition. Thanks for the great video!

Glad I could help. Good call on the 48v battery, lemme know how it works out!

Where are you coming from, to nyc? Asking because I'm already here (Brooklyn), and looking to move to NJ

@@aaronvbarreraphotography2740 Ok, I thought you were a Jersey or Long Island guy by how I interpreted the sentence. How much did this run you, and where from? I'm working with a Unagi and I don't like it anymore.

@@EsauistheCaucasian I got mine on Amazon, because they have a payment plan option for Prime members. The Max sells for around $799 but you may be able to find it cheaper elsewhere. I just bought it on Amazon for the payment plan.

I have been using Ninebot MAX G30 for a while now and I have to say that this scooter is easily one of the best scooters I ever had and propably for now it IS the best! I really love the 65km range it can go and the speed is nice. In Addition this scooter has a smart broadcast system and a useful remote app aswell.
