Great video and #realworld testing!! I own 2 MAX G30 (first as an IGG backer when they were first released in September; second on Amazon Christmas sale... bought both $599/ea). Last weekend I passed 1,300miles on one and 300miles on the other. I have no complaints except for slow-leaky-tires (which Armor-Dilloz slime solved). One may have rusted-bearings from riding (err "submarining") through puddles but it hasn't hurt its top-speed nor range. At 5'9" 150lbs my longest single-ride was 28.4miles in [D]rive & [E]co mixed (but that was BATT 98% > 2% .. so wasn't fully-charged to start nor completely drained once I got home). I cannot give this scooter enough praise! It has exceeded all my expectations (except for being heavy.. however both of them can fit/folded into my MINI COOPER... so yeah #WinWin). I only wish the yellow US-spec G30 had the same "blue lever" eBrake on the left-handle that the blue German(?) G30D does... I would prefer having thumb control of KERS rather than just the 3-settings (Weak|Medium|Strong) via the app.

28 miles while using D mode at all is pretty impressive range. I'm always astonished by how much weight and wind resistance can put a dent in speed and range. That's a nice little mini endorsement for the MAX, thanks for the comment!

I took my Ninebot Max out this morning in light rain splashing through small puddles with no worries, it was a lot of fun. I gotta tell ya, even though I have a blast on my high speed scooters there's always that anxiety you have about crashing and getting hurt with those so my little leisurely with less stress ride going around 18-19mph on my Ninebot is enjoyable too. I was taking photographs of historical places downtown and the scooter gave me so much freedom to do that which would be definitely difficult doing by just walking or in a regular vehicle. I would still say the range is decent on the Max. I went about 7 to 8 miles this morning and the battery dropped about 1 and a half bars on sport mode the whole time. I'm more or less happy with that. Someone should organize a scooter rodeo where you test different types of scooters from commuters to high performance models to see which riders can make turns the fastest and closest around an obstacle course. There can also be a very narrow straight run sandwiched by small cones to see who can travel the fastest through it without hitting any of the cones. A braking test can be done from a set speed with a line drawn on the pavement to see who can stop the closest on. A point system can be setup for the contest and the winners will earn prizes. I thing that would be a lot of fun.
@GingerOnWheels4 жыл бұрын
They actually do have one of those in Spain. It's a scooter driving school, but they have an obstacle course setup too! I've seen pictures, it looks pretty neat. It would be really cool to get them started in other places though too. Glad to hear you're enjoying the Ninebot!

@@GingerOnWheels Yeah, maybe I'll try to organize an event like that. I don't know about that crazy stuff like Alien Rides does such as a cannonball run. Fantastic video(s), i first watched your main video since i m looking for an urban long range escooter. It is hard to find the battery capacity, sometimes they give A.h and omit the voltage, sometimes they just give autonomy in KM which is irrelevant. I saw a video in which Xiaomi was loosing 30% of its battery on a + 30 meters (about 100 feets) with 90 kg man carrying 10 kg of geart (around 200 pounds total). I m very happy to read that this Ninebot can do 1200 ft on climbing with around 90 kg load. Most testers do advertising rather than actual testing, you are an exception. I really appreciate the extensive and serious testing you did, autonmy, ability to climb steep slopes, behavior under heavy raind, breaking. I'm truly impressed and give your video a 5/5 stars. I need to clim 150 meters (450 feets) on the way out and in, and since you reported around 1200 feet it seems that with the Ninebot i can commute and not even recharge at the office. Note that my trip has a W shape so there is almost no overall positive climb. PS : I think that providers should always provide the battery capacity in Watt/h, or quiv mamph and voltage. The ninebot has around 550 wh which is really high for its price range. I don't know if there is any competition, the xiaomi pro 2 has quite less battery capacity. And on top the Ninebot has its charger included, so you just need a standard cable which is awesome.

Great video! Thanks! I just bought one and I was wondering: how did this scooter perform days or weeks after riding it in the rain? Did the performance change? Any problems?

Zero problems or issues with this scooter after tightening the latch screws + adding blue loctite. My girlfriend still rides it around with me. Got about 400 miles on it now.

Thanks mate your videos are the best. What was the name of the app you were using to record all the details?

I’ve owned one of these for about a month, luv it. I find the only mode worth using is S mode, the other modes are feeble. Breaks are good. Only thing is, I wish it had both a high beam and low beam light setting, rather than just what is a low beam setting. Riding through a park at night with no street lights, one needs a high beam switch.

You can always mount an Aux bicycle light to the bars :)

@@GingerOnWheels Thanks bud, I’ll look that up on eBay, the scoot definitely needs a slightly higher light. Big hugs from the UK.
