Put a small section of fuel line, split down the middle, over that sharp edge, around the radiator cap. I also like to use a bit of gasket adhesive to make the fuel line stick. It will make a nice bit of edging, protecting you from that sharp edge, and provide a much cleaner, finished appearance.

Gonna be real with you chief, putting a red anything in the middle of a black grill makes it look silly, like as if it has a clown nose. There's a truck around where I live with an all red Ford badge and it just looks so silly

Once you get that cap hole hogged to the right size, you might want to take a piece of vacuum hose, split it and then put it over that sharp edge, your fingers will thank you... Fits in there great, tucked in tight.

Rear mount the radiator like they do in formula drift... works so that if you have a front collision you won't puncture the radiator etc... also a rear battery box and fuel tank will help not only to have better access but to add some weight to the rear so that the V8 doesn't make the truck unbalanced at the front 👍🏻

You know.. I can't believe this truck will be running soon. Its insane you basically, (and by yourself no less...) shoved a V8, new transmission, and redid the entire suspension on it. It is pretty gosh darn insane to think about.

For using a hole saw, treat it like a saw slow and steady keeps the blade way longer. Use a real cutting oil too wd40 is a powder once it drys not very good for lubricating. Also buy a vice

Make the fans pusher instead if pullers. Looks like you should have enough room up front for those. Maybe make a fan shroud?

Pushers are less efficient, they block air from entering the radiator

Might want to, eh, check for bubbles when you get the radiator set up. That ended up being my cooling problem. I watched the mechanic do it (from afar) Thing sucked in what looked like an entire gallon of coolant.

Just a small suggestion but I really think it would add to the overall look of the car if the Mazda logo on the grill was painted red and maybe black X’s on the headlights. Very very cheap and easy to do

With your angle grinder just push the button in to lock the blade and grab the blade and unscrew it. No need for that tool unless the blade is worn all the way down.

you can buy spacers that goes between the rear axel and the leafsprings

Jakob D lowering blocks. I had them for a long time on a Toyota Pickup but they’re not ideal for racing use. They screw up suspension geometry and cause a weak point in the rear suspension. I would definitely just recommend mono leaf springs and lowering shocks. Or just coilover conversion.
