@@macmurati the only ls that's lighter than a uz is an aluminum 5.3. But yes I totally see the downsides of the engine, but the reliability issues are almost non existent compared to an LS.

@@macmurati uz engines dont have secondary cam lobes, and do not have a chain tensioner. It's a belt. And I've never seen an issue with tensioners. Are you sure you arent thinking of the 4AG engine?

Thank you all for the awesome comments! I really appreciate it. A lot of you have questions about the truck so here are some answers. Engine: Toyota JDM 4.0L 1UZ (vvti version). Engine came out of an Aristo I believe... Trans: Nissan SR20 5-Speed. Used a custom adapter plate/clutch to mate it to the 1uz. Rear Axle: Ford 8.8, 3.73 gears with a LSD Front Suspension: Fortune Auto Miata coilovers, 12k springs, stock arms, chopped knuckles for a little more angle. Rear Suspension: Custom 4 link with QA1 coilovers. 10k springs. ECU: Link ultimate ecu, custom wiring harness I'll add more info if I see any more questions! Thank you again!

Respect for your build man. I've got the same model Mazda but only a double cab. It's been fitted with a 350 chevy motor pushing around 300hp to the wheels tho. Straight pipes makes sure everyone notices and hates it lol. Not crazy power but enough for what it is. But love to see that here and there some people haven't forgotten about these workhorses begging for a bigger heart. Keep doing what you're doing bro!

@@Russxm rent a garage. I use to rent 15x 25 u- store-it. Paid 50 a month and an extra 10 for 220 electric. Started collecting my Welders, tools, drill press, manual pipe bender and notcher, parts washer, engine stand and a hoist ect all in the one end. Was cramped for sure but warm and dry. I raced cra quads, bikes, built truggys, a cpl rock crawler buggies and restored a k5 blazer on 38's and a 68 nova in there. Find a buddy who's got a place to work and ready to go in on a build with ya. Not always easy to do but If there's a will there's a way. Wont happen on the couch. Remember.......Can't is the cancer of won't.
