What's with all these negative comments? It's as if you guys didn't even watch the video. Almost all of what he said was positive and the only negative aspect was that taking it with NSAIDs could be harmful due to Ginko's vaso-dilation effect along with NSAIDs anti-inflamitory properties. He even recommended a dosage if you want to take it.

Whatever drug we take that is in excess or use improperly (right dosage, timing, other drug interactions) is bad. What he says is just an awareness that even herbal medicine such as gingkobiloba, if not taken properly, can be bad, because, you know, these substances too have chemicals in it, altho not synthetic, that may affect the normal physiological and biochemical processes of the body.

That's is already commonly known . It says it on the drug label. They go to school to learn about drugs not herbs but I don't know if I could trust a doctor about a herbal medication. Although what he says makes a lot of sense. I would not want my blood to be thinner than it already is unless I had problem with the viscosity of my circulation.
@uncommonsense6377 жыл бұрын
I went through the references and could not find one study that showed Ginkgo Biloba caused any kind of internal bleeding unless it was used where a individual was or had been using blood-thinners, anti-depressants or other drugs that DO interact. If you can show me that I would be willing to give it a notice. I also would like to explain a common misconception. Blood thinners are dangerous because they thin the blood irregardless of the bodies healing processes or what is actually need so they can actually cause serious issues. HOWEVER, in the plant and herb kingdom most of the time that is NOT what is taking place. Herbs like Ginkgo Biloba and Cayenne equalize the blood, there is a huge difference. The herbs do it naturally and in synergy with your body, the drug does it arbitrarily in complete disregard of the body. There is some concern about Ginkgo Biloba being possibly dangerous if taken too often, I am not willing to start emphatically that is not true. But I have researched for hours on this herb and cannot find a credible study that indicates this is the case.

I've been taking 250 mg of Gingko and 75 mg of Aspirin together for more than 10 years, never had a problem. I do this in the interest of counteracting the bad influence of cigarettes, which I haven't been able to quit.
@gitanjalireddy43723 жыл бұрын
I used to take 1 pill every day in the morning before breakfast. During my exam time I increased it to 2, one before breakfast and one before dinner. I started having horrible headaches. I thought it was because of the test stress but after my exams I quit Ginko biloba completely. The headaches stopped almost miraculously. I had a bit of anxiety after quitting and that’s when I realised I would create a dependency on it if I didn’t act quickly so I said goodbye to it since. Blueberries, curcumin, apple cider vinegar are other things I include in my regular diet which helps with anxiety and good brain health.

This is one of the best reviews I have seen. One the one hand the Dr specifically gives all the information leading to the positive aspects of GB and then very correctly states the things to look out for. It is the best review cause either you will have negation or you will have someone "super-hyping" a supplement. This review is enough for me to subscribe to the channel and look up more things regarding the Dr's research. Thumbs up!
@doniphan72ify7 жыл бұрын
Steve Commisso ... Well if it's so good , than how come he never once cited the study that's shown that ginko causes internal bleeding in the brain and elsewhere ? He even doubled down and said Ginko on its own can do this without any supporting medications . I'm not saying that ginko doesn't possibly do that , I just don't know , but it seems to me that this is another doctor that is trying to slow the supplement train down by telling you the great benefits and then scaring the shit out of you from ever trying it by telling you it has this huge side effect that can kill you , and all of this without giving any proof or citing of a controlled study

Ginkgo biloba, or maidenhair tree, is renowned worldwide for its medicinal properties. This remarkable tree is known as a 'living fossil', as it is the sole survivor of an ancient group of trees that date back to beyond the time of the dinosaurs. The maidenhair tree remains virtually unchanged today and represents the only living bridge between 'higher' and 'lower' plants (between ferns and conifers).

So if it gives one a higher risk of bleeding, it should not be considered as a supplement for someone who had a heavy stroke(vein bursted) a year and a half ago? When i heard about this plant, first thing that crossed my mind was that someone suffering from a stroke (one half of the body lacks feeling, and impaired speech) can further improve if taking the right ginko biloba supplement. If anyone knows something more for this specific case, please let me know. Thanks.

I use tahini for pain when I get it. I wonder if it would be bad to take Ginkgo Biloba is I use the ground sesame? I do have low blood pressure. I have never seen it over a 100 and a 100 would be high for my blood pressure. Most people that get blood pressure as low as mine feel sick an lethargic Iv'e never taken medicine for my blood pressure because I think it is just my normal blood pressure, even when I was an older teen the nurses would say that I have blood pressure of a child. I am very athletic and I'm 40 now. I just wonder sometimes if my brain and body get enough blood circulation. I sleep with my legs elevated a couple times a week and I practice deep breathing, because I want circulation. Why don't you talk about all of the side effects of synthetic drugs you constantly prescribe to people? The synthetic drugs on average do much more harm to people than herbs do. No one disputes that Modern medicine has done great things for many people and helped extend many peoples lives. But it has also done a great deal of damage to people as well and that is rarely if ever talked about, It is always swept under the rug and kept out of sight of the masses. There are many herbal compounds produced by plants that can help treat many illnesses and cure some illnesses as well. Yet the modern medical industry will push the synthetic man made compounds that usually have horrible "side" effects over the herbal remedies that exist in nature. That is what is a crime against humanity and it needs to end now.
