The Summit brought together 21 experts to tackle pressing challenges in housing finance market, foster innovation, and develop strategies that ensure sustainable access to homeownership. Representing the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors, participants shared key insights into the housing industry’s evolution during rapidly changing market conditions, and balancing the mandate to meet borrower needs while also preserving lenders’ access to credit throughout the economic cycle. Participants also called for industry-wide collaboration for solutions that address liquidity risks for nonbank mortgage lenders and servicers, enhancing the strength and resilience of the U.S. housing finance market to ensure Americans have meaningful opportunities to achieve homeownership.
