I love how her dad helped calm her down meanwhile my dad would’ve just acted like I don’t have serious mental health problems because I always seem so calm and happy but I do that because I don’t want him to worry so I keep my feelings to myself I have low self esteem and I’m damn near depressed and I’m either on the verge of crying or anger every day I have to wake up and just go about the motions because I truly wish I was dead

Ya never give up. Things do seem tough and endless. But keep going! Get through the pain. Recognize the pain, and respond to it. Not cover it and pressure it down. I have definitely felt this MANY TIMES in my life before. Ending your life doesn’t change anything nor does it mean all the problems or feelings go away either… Imagine yourself in the future and never giving up! Now that’s the power of the Holy Spirit! I say keep walking strong even in the storm! Ask God for his peace and calmness within the storm! Not for him to take it away. These hard times and trials are here to help us grow STRONGER and more STEADFAST in what we believe in! They are hard but they are meant to also help us grow as individuals. I get that. When I was deep into that habit, any little thing would make it so I just had to get it out, and I never felt like I could talk to anyone, so I’d be desperate. I’d get alone and punch a wall, punch myself, cut myself, anything at all to cause enough pain to calm myself down. That was a long time ago though, and I’ve found some better ways to manage the anxiety/stress

Saying she puts this on herself is almost saying like anyone with depression, anxiety, or any sort of mental disorder puts all of that on themselves, which is stupid. It’s called emotions, everyone goes through that. And Ginny can be entitled, but all of this, WAS NOT HER FAULT. It was really the private investigator’s fault, but Ginny had to find out anyway so that she can have a better understanding of her mother and her sacrifices so that their relationship can become more stable, which eventually works at the end.

Ginny discovered 2 weeks ago that her mother killed her previous husband Kenny and that Austin’s letters (Austin is Ginny’s brother who wrote to his dad who’s in jail) were never sent and that Georgia (her mom) wrote letters back pretending to be Austin’s dad. They run away to Zion who is Ginny’s dad and they stay there for two weeks. In this scene Ginny finds out that they’re going back to Georgia’s for Fri-yay (Friday after Thanksgiving) Ginny had also been sh herself for years and finally told her dad. I hope this helps let me know if anything doesn’t make sense.

Okay so. I was a teen that struggled with depression, suicidal ideation and I even attempted suicide a few times. As an adult I still struggle with these things. So I know how horrible, dark, lonely and terrifying all of this can be. But, Ginny is honestly a selfish and entitled brat. Not with her struggles with mental health, but with the way she treats Georgia. Georgia is an amazing mother. Yeah, she's made mistakes, but she is a good mother who would give anything for her children. Do anything for her children. And Ginny constantly refuses to see that. She sees her mother as the bad guy. And yeah that's basically teenagism 101. But half of the time I just wanna strangle Ginny for how she treats her mother. I love love love Georgia, but Ginny has so many character flaws that make her a pretty unlikeable character.

The way she talks about Georgia is deplorable when that woman would do literally anything for her children. Ginny continuously takes for granted what her mother does for her and Austin, and constantly seems to think that Georgia owes her an explanation on the adult decisions she makes. She is a child. She does not need to be informed at every twist and turn. Not to mention she is malicious towards Georgia, doing some things she knows will hurt her mother and not caring. And she believed it to be her place to find ways to help Austin see his dad behind their mothers back rather than trusting her mother had her reasons to keep him away from them. We’re suppose to feel sympathy for Ginny and look at Georgia as some well meaning antagonist. But I personally feel nothing but dislike for Ginny and absolute adoration for Georgia. Ginny is a horrible, entitled child who thinks she’s an adult (I have an 18 year old little sister currently going through the same phase) and thinks she needs to be involved in every decision Georgia makes. But she doesn’t. And Georgia is probably my favorite character in the show. She’s absolutely amazing and I find it sad how she’s criminalized by Ginny. Ginny IS selfish. The only ones who won’t see her selfishness are teenagers

Georgia an amazing mother? She seem nice in the surface but trust me, nobody with a minimum of brain cell wouldn't want her as a mom. She's INCREDIBLY irresponsible, constantly move town to town, which made her children unable to have a stable environment and a social life. Stole their credit accounts, so the will have difficulties loan something after their majority. She literally put them in financial damage. Refuse to put her son in therapy after he STABBED his peer. Prefer to have a friendship relation with her daughter althought the best for her is to act as her mother FIRST. No wonder why Ginny constantly direspect her cuz Georgia never set boundaries in their relationship and never act as the adult she is but as a cool big sis instead. Killed an innocent Man cuz ma'am feel entitled to take a life cuz "it was mercily for him". She didn't know him, and didn't have to sniff her nose in Cynthia business. There are many ways to be supportive to her, and the worse thing is that her son witnessed her crime. How can Austin be mentally stable after seeing his own parent kill a person? Glad she was put in jail for this unnecessary crime She has probably good intentions but at the end of the day her actions and decisions put trauma in her childrens and made them more miserable

But Georgia struggles with the idea of that she would prefer to be an older sister figure than a mother.
