Can someone explain how utsuros powers work, I thought his regeneration would work anywhere(because it worked on rakuyo) , so why exactly does it stop when sadaharu closes the altana outbursts and also if altana is the cause of his regeneration even if gintoki put altana Crystal's into his blood stream , his regeneration stopped only when sadaharu controlled the ley lines , is there a reason for that

If i recall right. Utsuro is immortal because he absorbs earth altana passively so he regenerate even if the slightest part of him remains and he regens fast. *Some spoilers below* His blood will grant great powers and regen abilities aswell but their is a limit until the body cannot take it and it gets rejected and you die sort of. This is an important info because the aliens used him for that reason to gain immortality and utsuro gained quite a network in the whole galaxy through using them. This leads to his plan to create a method to make the altana of a planet go berserk and self detonate. He test this one some planets to see if it works. He then betrays his patronage of people he gave blood to and the blood causes them to mutate and seize to have any control as he can remotely control his own blood. He then return to earth the planet of which he was born and the source of altana he uses to regenerate to set up an altana explosion of it core. He will blow the planet up and in that way be able to finally completly die and aswell get revenge on the treatment he suffered for centuries by people of earth. The denizen of edo fight him and The yato girl father returns and gives them sword made from altana crystals of another planets, this is toxic to him as it hinders his regenerate ability bcs it blocks his absorbition of altana of earth he needs to sustain the recovery. It is explained that beings like utsuro needs to remain on the planet they come from to be able to replenish the supply of altana they have stored in their bodies to regenerate. This is that killed the yato girl mother as she left her planet she was immortal on to be able to raise children and have a normal family, because the planet she lived on is so deadly to its inhabit. In space or in another planet he is more vulnerable if he has too use his powers and will in the end die. In the end with them nearly defeating him he reverts back to the personality of the teacher to gintoki and the 3 other who attended his school. It is why gintoki gets so sad then he jumps into the fissure of altana before it closes up.

I have a question, if utsuro can absorb altana from anywhere on earth, why couldnt he absorb it even after the altana outburst was sealed by sadaharu, there is still altana flowing on earth no?

He got hit by the swords made from another planets altana crystals, this is toxic to him and shuts down his regen ability. Also gintoki injected him during his fight with shavings of the swords so it entered his blood stream, it just took some time for it too work which is why he gets suddenly so weak during one part of the fight. Watch the episode with the show down it is bloody good way to end the whole set up they built during the show(Yes the story continuous after this but this was the climax of the whole story).

@@dragonswrath6826 the entire series is on vrv. Crunchyroll also works. The silver soul arc isn't until around the last 30 or so episodes of the series. If you do decide to watch Gintama then keep in mind that not many people really like the first 50 or so episodes of the series. But if you look up "Gintama review" then they all praise the show tremendously. It is my favorite anime of all time and it is very highly rated on mal. 100% will recommend

Dheeraj MIshra the show is majorly comedy for the most part with serious arcs at various points. The first major arc is the benizakura arc around episode 50 (though) I still liked it before then. Even though I suggest that by the time you get to benizakura arc just watch the movie adaptation of the arc. I think on Crunchyroll it’s arranged in order but if it isn’t you can find it on kissanime in the watch order.
