Dunno if I can say more, in case you: - haven't seen the episode yet - Gintama spoilers (anime) - One Piece spoilers (anime) But in the manga, this happened around the time after One Piece had introduced all 7 warlords, so around Marine ford war arc. (If my memory is right. I might be wrong. But back when I read several jump mangas, including Gintama, I would notice Gintama using references from other series that had recently been used or exposed in their own mangas, with a 2-4 week after release.)
