Downton has been a great part of my life and I am sad to see it end. However I'm sure it won't be forgotten, at least I won't forget it anytime soon. And I hope you won't either.

I am 3rd generation living in argentina. My great grandfather Louis John Lowe, arrived from UK in 1873, he was one of the representants of Bateman & Bateman Cía who built the water works in Buenos Aires. In 1877 he buys very good land in the humid Pampas and settles with his family. They would spend 6 months in UK, 6 m in argentina, sending the children to boarding schools. I was brought up in the farm, still in the hands of the familly only smaller, as part of the family sold their share & went back to UK. And i always wondered why the main house was known as "upstairs" in spanish "el alto" and the houses of the workmen was known as "downstairs" "el bajo", till I saw this fantastic series Downtown Abbey. It is so incredible how inmigrants take their culture. In argentina there is a big British comunity. We were also sent to boarding schools 500 km from the farm. My father, a Land Lord, lived all his life in his beloved farm "estancia" till May 2021, when he passed away at the age of 90. He loved and respected the gaucho tradition in argentina. The house in the farm was constructed in 1900 in an italian style, and decorated with beatiful english furniture, beautifully kept

Tears in my eyes ...superb piece of writing, acting, costumes ..a beautiful gift to our TV screens. Pieces of British history woven into a tapestry of an ever changing aristocratic life. A true masterpiece. Now I'm going to watch it again from start to finish.

these videos are my favorite thing, the show starts this Sunday in the US but at least we have the creators new show to look forward to called The Guilded Age. He said that it's supposed to be about New York in the 20's and said there might be Downton Abbey character cameos.

I'm glad that Lady Edith has finally found love and I also admire Bertie in taking on a Daughter and becoming a Step dad so it must prove that he loves her and he will also like his Mother will love Marigold and I could see that cheeky look when he looked at Edith and Marigold will inherit the Newspaper what the late Michael Gregson started and it's also quite obvious that Tom Barrow loves the Children

M I'm inclined to say that Thomas Barrow is fast becoming a junior version of Mr Carson. His previous experiences of bullying, harassment, and being badly treated, has somehow made him much stronger ans empathetic and sympathetic as afentleman, and a mature adult. He is what my late fatherwould have called " a good lad at heart".
