It took me 3 years of trying to listen over and over to it to finally get it. I don't think the world was ready for a disco comeback. Homework still my fav Daft punk album by far. That true Techno sound they had before the robots took over was so authentic and on point.

Don’t forget Edwin Birdsong, Eddie Johns, Barry White, Vaughan Mason and Crew, Electric Light Orchestra, Kenny Loggins, Jim Messina, The Alan Parsons Project, Sister Sledge, George Duke, Breakwater, … ^ If anyone needs an explanation, these are all artists Daft Punk sampled. So not only did their music implicitly influence Daft Punk, it directly is half the work & talent of Daft Punk’s best tracks.
@slippydouglas
@slippydouglas 3 жыл бұрын
@@kegusto5359 I’m pretty sure Daft Punk was influenced by 100s, if not 1000s of artists. If you’ve ever met a musician, you’ll discover they know and have a lot of thoughts about many many past artists. It’s just kind of how it works in every industry- you don’t find that new sound or create the new thing without knowing and feeling a lot about everything before.

Lol no he's actually correct Giorgio discussed his time working with Daft Punk, and he definitely talks about how he had very little to do with the actual song making. Instead, they invited him to their studio and had him do an interview with microphones from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and a mic that was from our time.

Random Acces Memories released in 2013, this album was so ahead of its time.
@cekinekshn
@cekinekshn 3 жыл бұрын
What? Not really. It's not like 2013 was what 2000s were for electronic music back then. Discovery was ahead of it's time. RAM was just something different, something that wasn't common because they used all those old techniques to create something new. I don't know if artists will copy what Daft Punk made with RAM. Music created by Giorgio Moroder was actually the true definition of "ahead of it's time". Daft Punk with RAM just went back to the roots.
