Sure wish I had seen this video when I first got my b3n. Would have saved me a great deal of frustration. It really isn't all that difficult, as you've shown here, but, for an old, first time user of any kind of pedal, it's a little daunting. This is probably the best video on using the b3n on KZbin. And, to be honest, your English is much cooler than if it were your native language! Oh, and new sub here!

This is a great video. Thank you very much. A lot of people love to show off the amp models, but not talk about just using it straight as a pedalboard This helped tremendously.

Thank you for this video. It was a better B3n demo than any I've seen, and I've watched several, including the Zoom demo video. You're video wasn't a frantic tour of all the patch effects and it also wasn't a confusing "magic trick" demo that demonstrated what was possible while trying not to show how it's done. You showed me what I wanted to see so I could actually see how the B3n is used, how to activate and deactivate patches, how to edit patches, etc. You also took time to demonstrate the tuner, which may seem like a trivial thing to experienced users but to people considering the purchase of a B3n with no experience this is very useful information. I mostly wanted to see how the looper worked, and while you didn't spend a lot of time on that portion of the demo, it was still FAR better than the other B3n looper demo videos I've seen. It was a great demo video because you didn't merely demonstrate what the B3n could do, you took the time to show us how to use it. Knowing what equipment is capable of doing is of little value if we don't understand how to use it, so we can't judge whether it would be useful for how we'd use the equipment for the way we play. And finally, thank you for making the effort to make an English video as a non-native English speaker. It was much appreciated. You need not apologize for your English. I learned more from your B3n video than all of the others combined.

(Now if you could just do vids on all the Eventide and TC pedals, I would be eternally grateful) Really, thanks, I just picked up the bass in the last few years and this pedal is really helpful for expanding my range and breaking down lots of styles to chase. Hello my Italian friend! Good review and I am on the fence of getting one myself next weekend. Pedals are nice but also pretty expensive. This Zoom is a bargain and the ergonomics are better imho than the Boss GT-1B (yet both sound good). Greetings from The Netherlands (Paesi Bassi).

Back in the day (1997) I used to play with an old Zoom 506 and a cheap 120 watts Laney combo... Sounded like crap so I forgot about Zoom for a while... Then I bought a MS60b as a backup for my Boss ME50B and after two weeks it became my main multifx for a while. I was impressed so I bought a Zoom B1on for home practice. This B3n looks and sounds good as well. It has more flexibility than my other multifx ..and honestly, I'm considering to sell the Boss ME50B and the Zoom B1on and buy the B3n for home practice. Edit : I must say that I don't base my tone in multifx/patches anymore. Nowadays my tone comes from a real Sansamp and the Zoom MS60B only works as a tuner/flanger...

This FX unit seems to be geared more towards rock and metal bass players, which is cool for them. What about the jazz and r&b bassists? I did hear a few of the sounds on another post that were more melodic, but most of these effects pedals don't get used to their full capacity. A lot of effects many players won't use. There is no substitute for good bass, find your sound and go with it! Effects are o.k. in the proper setting, but in my opinion sometimes the music gets lost when you try to distort the sound so much, just my opinion. I'm not saying don't buy this product, I'm just saying I won't be needing it.

You didn't demo the drum machine! Heh. That's okay though, this was all the demo I needed. I really think I could make this work in my bass rig now (though I still need to answer exactly how because of placing my Orbital Mod after the B3n). Thank you for this, it's a great demo for how to use what's a surprisingly intuitive pedal.

I would love Zoom to do an upgraded version of the MS70CDR. Love that pedal, has tons of good delays and chorus there. But it needs some extra functionality. Needs an EXP IN to mess with the efects hands free, a secondary assignable FootSwitch and fxs bleed into next bank [the cut off is somewhat annoying during live use].

Good stuff. I just got one, but nothing I change gets saved. I want to create a few patches: -- Heavy distortion (BassFz) with EQ and compressor. --- Clean with chorus and compressor. --- A nice reverb. --- A lighter distortion with a little reverb and chorus. In short, show how to combine sounds and save them in a single patch. Thanks.

Actually lost out on a decently priced second hand b3 in a frantic bidding war on ebay a couple of hours ago. Since it's a discontinued model, I wouldn't bother trying to find a new one. As Giorgio (thank you for the demo btw) says, get a b3n. Will have to save my money for a couple more weeks, but think it will be worthwhile.

I bought one of these. I can't find a way to easily bypass the unit with a single step. To bypass the unit, I need to either find and empty patch or go to the tuner (sound on). Do you know if there is a way to "quickly" bypass the unit? It's the only thing I don't really like about it.
@giorgioterenziani4 жыл бұрын
Push the multi pedal (2sec) and you will have tuner mode. Push on mute and you find a bypass, it's the fastest way to mute or bypass but you always need 2 steps

I'm not talking about what Giorgio does. Of course you should do the settings before the gig according to a specific set list. But the UX design and placement could be more effective, smart and responsive for stage use. On the other hand, the lack of sound device functionality is a huge con for the existing users to upgrade to this.
@burningkarma7 жыл бұрын
Vefa ERDEM It's a shame Zoom discontinued the B3 and won't let you update the firmware like the MS-60b. Seems like the Zoom diehards still favor the old B3. The B3n is an uglier design and is missing the ever important DI output.
