The synchronization of the 1st Canzon is off a bit due to an oversight on my part.
Giovanni Gabrieli (c. 1554/1557 - 12 August 1612) was an Italian composer and organist. He was one of the most influential musicians of his time, and represents the culmination of the style of the Venetian School, at the time of the shift from Renaissance to Baroque idioms.
From Sacrae Symphoniae (1597)
1. Primo Tono; Intonazione dell'ottavo tono, for organ
2. Canzon septimi et octavi toni for 12 parts, No. 13
3. Canzon quarti toni for 15 parts No. 16 (3:31)
4. Quinto Tono; Intonazione dell Quinto Tono (7:47)
5. Canzon duodecimi toni for 10 parts No. 9 (8:23)

The canzon quarti toni (second piece) is one of the most majestic works in the polychoral repertoire, Aw Heck! In the WHOLE repertoire! Made me a Gabrieli fan back in 1964

Anyone know of other artists like Giovanni Gabrieli and Andrea Gabrieli?

Adriaan Willaert, the teacher of Andrea Gabrieli was the founder of the Venetian School. He also taught Cipriano de Rore and very probably influenced Palestrina and Orlando di Lasso. All very interesting composers. Monteverdi was the culmination of the Venetian School with his fabulous Mary Vespers.

Also, da Viadana and Severo Bonini. All the Italian composers of the early Baroque will restore your faith in humanity. In addition: - Gabrieli's student, Heinrich Schütz - Michael Praetorius - Tomás Luis de Victoria
