I didn't think their relationship was ever a romantic one but I am surprised she hasn't supported him over this as she clearly didn't have a problem with him.

We only know what the media have told us but to be honest i am sure Rose has showed her support for gio in private after all she has a lot to lose if she goes public with her comments she has done work for the bbc recently.

@@Outlier999very few of his colleagues connected to scd have said anything in public because they have been advised not to Gio too, he has put a couple of posts to his fans on instagram but thats it and the response he got was overwhelming because we have nothing to lose.

@@Outlier999You don't know what Rose is doing privately, and neither should you. For some reason you continually want to discredit her. Personally I'm happy for her, she worked incredibly hard for Giovanni and deserves all the success she is now receiving. I think Gio would agree. This is his problem not Rose's. I don't see why he, as a friend, would want her to be publicly involved.

Nonsense. Neither can do right from wrong. Not wanting to say anything publicly might be legal guidance. Their friendship does not have to be played out in the media for it to become a twisted truth and likewise on social media to be taken out of context. She cannot comment on what is not her experience and whatever the strength of opinion we shouldn't dismiss out of hand others experience. Hence an investigation which let's hope reports fact/truth. I for one would be very saddened if their friendship was no longer as it was extraordinary. She did agree to be interviewed and it is well documented how they got on, they are busy people who I am sure are still in touch but privately.

The problem here now is Giovanni has other interests namely a girlfriend so he has to be careful of his actions.

Just hope it’s a passing interest because his career is not going in the right direction at the moment and will keep sliding unless addressed

@@stevehutchins3429 I hope so too but his girlfriend posted and said they had extended their family as they have bought a puppy between them and he has been stateing he loves her a lot i know that coming from gio doesnt mean much we have heard it all before.

@@jane9875not what she said at all, she said she had a wonderful experience with him but won’t be publicly commenting on a situation that she’s not involved, why would she?

I have a feeling this relationship with Rose was a breakup due to one or both being stubborn. I just hope this new girlfriend is not a 'rebound' relationship for him, as rebounds rarely turn out happy in the end. I know a few who regretted it - wishing they had made it up and stayed with the partner they left.

Yes...and Anton said as much - 'they are so suited to each other.' Anton is as good a judge of character as he is a judge on Strictly. I hope it turns out right in the end.

@@irenemcwatt4443 I feel he is a lonely person right now and knows he should have done something with Rose but is ego got in the way and ruined it he is putting on a brave face and yes he should have stayed with Rose then this may not have happened

I agree with you steve he should have capitalised on his time with rose he could have made plenty of money at that time but for some reason he cut rose out she was good for him h uge loss financially for him it's sad to see him loss his job that he loved but lucky he met rose.

As you suggested - I think he is a lonely person, not for lack of people around him, but in his heart he may feel lonely because he can't share it with the person he feels closest to. Relationship problems usually revolve around more than just one person - it could be that Rose has given up on him. That's why I mentioned 'rebound' relationships and how seldom they lead to happiness. Much better to make it up.

@@Outlier999she’s staying out of a situation publicly that doesn’t concern her. She has a lot to celebrate in her life atm ( new BBC documentary, book deal, MBE) but hasn’t posted any of it on her SM, do you think that’s a coincidence ? No it’s not, She’s being respectful to the sensitive situation surrounding her friend and not self promoting her own recent personal achievements. If you are aiming to support GP, look at the bigger picture.
