Thank you Sir for the information and video. Very professionally done, easy to understand, and I really appreciate you letting everyone know where and which fittings and regulators to get. Also appreciate you letting us know how big off a dent it is going to put in our wallets. I was just over at the Giraud website, and it seems Doug is going to have a new induction annealer coming out soon?. From what I saw on the site and what I have read on the web about this system, it should be a hot selling item. I am guessing it ain't going to be cheap. Maybe we will see a glut of the Giraud gas case annealers up for sale! I hate waiting, but the little lady has her foot resting on my throat just daring me to buy another"toy". Again Sir, thank you for sharing your video an information-John

it looks like the annealer is not going to change its just going to have the induction annealer add on available. Even though Doug hasn't given a firm price yet it looks like it may be in the $600 range just for the induction unit.

From the time you placed your order, what was the turn around time to you home? Great vid, thanks.

+TheSgtk9 Time depends on demand. When I ordered mine I also ordered the Trimmer and I was told one would be 3 weeks and the other would be 6 weeks. (i dont rem which was 3 or 6). About 2 1/2 weeks later they both showed up at my door.

Thanks for the video and sharing the parts list. I have hated setting up my annealer every time since to shut it off I have to turn the stock regulator off so it's a hassle every time I use it. Care to share some sample times/ feed tray speeds and regulator pressures for starting points?

It was good talking to you today about all this stuff. Hope you got all your questions answered - if not you know where to find me in the Facebook Group. Thanks for the tip on the Giraud case trimmer.

Tejas Smokers has shipped the regulator assembly as described in your video. I am 99% sure of the fitting needed to bypass the Giraud regulator altogether but I will wait until I get the item from Tejas first. A local hydraulics shop has the fitting but I will bring the desired mating pieces with me to verify. If it is what I think it is, I will post to your site on here with the part number, if available, and the threads so anyone else can duplicate the set up. I may get the unit by this Friday and I will post after I assemble it.

I am a tad late in my reply but I was successful in eliminating the scratchy Goss flame control regulator that came with the case annealer. In an attempt to use only one fitting, I discovered that such an animal does not exist, at least in the inventory that my hydraulic supply shop had on hand. I ended up using two adapters instead. Parts used are a 3/8" male flare adapter, that mates with the Tejas Smoker hose, with the back end being a 1/4" female flare adapter. Coupled to that is a 1/4' male flare adapter that opens to a 5/16" female flare and that part fits the blowpipe that you remove from the Goss GP-9 regulator that is supplied with the annealer. A note of caution: The blowpipe uses a brass ferrule for sealing in the original regulator and part of the pipe extends beyond the ferrule and it sockets into a flat recess of the Goss regulator. Its main function is for stability as it does not seal in that pocket, the ferrule does the sealing. In order to keep this arrangement the same, a recess must be drilled deep enough into the back of the second adapter so this pipe will not bottom out. If you do not and just tighten away on the brass nut of the blowpipe, like I did the first time, the ferrule will slide on the pipe until it seals but it is dangerously close to the end of the pipe. After muscling the ferrule back up on the pipe, I drilled the recess as described and the pipe end just barely touches the sides of the drilled recess. A 5/16" flat end mill would be ideal but lacking that, I used a drill bit in my lathe and just went a tad deeper to allow for the taper of the drill point. With both of these adapters linked together, the length is the same as the Goss regulator but it cleaned up the area under the hose and pipe enough that I can now roll my cases out of the way w/o whacking my hands on the knob and such.As for part numbers, I did not ask as my hydraulic buddy gave them to me and I was not going to pounce on him for numbers. When it is a freebie, you take the stuff and do not annoy the gift-giver by pestering him for part numbers. So far, I have done about 500 rounds of 50 cal and it is working like a champ. Turning the Tejas regulator is like dialing the barrel on a micrometer; smooth and the adjustments are infinite. Worth the money in my book.

I tried to say it in few words but I discovered that I would have left out important information. I rewrote it about 3 times and I think it covers it now.Yes, the Tejas Smoker adjustable regulator works great. They called prior to shipping to clarify the address and I had a long chat with the gal on the other end. Very knowledgeable and this is not a cheap assembly either. I keep the old parts, just in case and I can convert back if needed. It was nice of you to display the part numbers in the video; made it easier to order.
