बनारस के उगते सूर्य की किरणों से गंगा की लहरों की अठखेलियां - और गिरिजा देवी जी के स्वरों का आरोह अवरोह - एक लंबी जीवन - संगीत की यात्रा । सागर की सरहदों के पार भी ' स्वरों के विस्तार की कोई सीमा नही होती । गिरिजा जी की स्वर लहरी उनका नाम सामने आते ही कानों में गूंजने लगती है मैं तब बी ए का छात्र था ' झांसी के डिग्री कालेज का वार्षिक तीन दिवसीय संगीत समारोह में सीज़नल टिकिट लेकर श्रवण - दर्शन सुख लेता रहा । तभी सन1959=60 में गिरिजा देवी जी को सुना और अभिभूत हो गया था । नाक में हीरे की लोंग और कंठ से बहती स्वर लहरी वैसे तो पर्दे पर ' सी डी ' कैसेट में खूब सुनी पर लगभग7=8 साल पहले वे भोपाल पधारी थीं । उनका गायन सुना । उम्र हारी हो तो हारी - पर आवाज़ नहीं । वही चेहरा मुस्कान और आशीषों भरा । अभिमान ने कभी छुआ नहीं ' वही अल्हड़ सी पतंग उड़ाती लड़की ' जो फिल्स डिवीजन ने बेहतरीन तरीके से दिखाई - उनके दिलों में जीवित थी और चेहरे पर वही भोलापन पर आध्यात्म की कांति से विभूषित मुख मंडल ' कार्यक्रम समापन पर मैंने भेंट की प्रणाम करके झांसी के संगीत समारोह की याद दिलाई तो ललक कर बोलीं - अरे हां ' हमारे बनारस के बलवंत सिंह जी तब झांसी में एस डी एम थे । मुझे बहुत अच्छा लगा । बळ वंत सिंह जी तब सिटी मजिस्ट्रेट थे और संगीत समारोह आयोजन के प्रभारी हुआ करते थे । श्रेष्ठ कार्यक्रमों के आयोजक जिनका नाम कभी नहीं भूलता ' गिरिजा देवी की सुबहे बनारस और शाम भी बनारसी रही । वे अब स्मृतियों में जीवित हैं । उनके स्वर हवाओं में - फिजाओं में आज भी गूंजते हें । खनकती आवाज़ की साम्राज्ञी अमर हो गई । उनकी स्मृति को नमन । आभार फिल्म्स डिवीज़न । देवेन्द्र कुमार जैन ' सेवा निवृत्त जिला जज ' के - एच 50 अयोध्या नगर ' भोपाल ' मो9826312425.
