David Gilmour’s guitar somehow expresses the entirety of human emotions. It’s not just you. Nobody in the world can do what he does. I am a 49 year old guy and I cry every single time I hear that solo.

This Pulse performance is almost too much to take in. I’m 63 and it brings tears to my eyes. “When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse, out of the corner of my eye. I turned to look but it was gone, I cannot put my finger on it now, the child is grown, the dream is gone.”

Roger Waters (genius songwriter, bass and vocals) and Nick Mason (genius songwriter/drums/percussion/backing vocals). God Bless them all.... David Gilmour's wonderful voice and impeccable guitar playing in this song is total fire. If you don't get emotional and melancholy with this you are dead. The band is named in homage to two old black blues musicians from North Carolina, PINK Anderson and FLOYD Council. One of the bands founding members fell in love with their raw, bluesy sound and talked the other members into naming their band: "The Pink Floyd Sound", later shortening it to just Pink Floyd and they became legends! The cerebral band of rock!

That guitar is being played by David Gilmour one of the five greatest guitarists ever to walk this planet!! Watch just about any song from this 1994 Pulse concert and it will be at least equivalent to almost any other bands Grand finale!! That wasn't even their last song for this concert! You should listen to some of their studio albums which are just as entertaining as a video because Pink Floyd paints a picture and a story in your mind with almost every one of their songs! If you'd like to see them when they were your age try their Pink Floyd 1971 "Echoes live from Pompeii" where they play in an ancient Roman amphitheatre over 2000 years old with no audience! Or try Us and Them from their 1973 Dark Side of the Moon album! One last thing about Pink Floyd try to use headphones or earbuds because their sound production is second-to-none!!! You just fell into a bottomless rabbit-hole known as Pink Floyd! Enjoyed your reaction very much and I think you will be very surprised at their music!!

March 1973 dark Side Of The Moon came out. I was 15 and rode my bike down to the record store and bought the album. It came with a couple posters and stickers. I went to my buddy's place and we played it on his dad's stereo and rattled the windows. We went up on the roof later and kicked back watching the clouds and such. Great album and I still have it along with a CD of it. Those were fine times with probably the best music ever written from bands that will stand the test of time. David Gilmore's solos are arguably the best to ever be recorded.

This is as close as you will ever get to experiencing Pink Floyd live. We all understand what you are saying about the song, and Gilmore's guitar speaking to you. It says different things to different people, but it is always an emotional experience. I am 71 and I have listened to Pink Floyd for over 50 years That 2nd guitar solo brings tears to my eyes still.

Heard it more than fifty times . Tearful every single time . This is not music. This is the entire cosmos dancing right in front of you . Blessed to hear it every single time .

Yes. The performance of the song was a masterful and the second solo is the best guitar solo of all time. Period.

I was 1 of the lucky ones to be at this concert in Earls Court in London October 1994 The Pulse Tour Concerts and nearly 30years later it still sends shivers down my head and spine watching, listening and remembering the awesome night..!! But not just the song your reacting to Comfortably Numb (The Greatest Song of All Time) but the whole Pulse Concert from start to finish each song as the whole concert was filmed live could be a movie on its own from Musically and Visually the lights, lasers, pyrotechnics, explosions and visual effects are truly MIND-BLOWING

I bought the album The Wall when it first came out. This is still one of my favorite. This live version David’s solo is longer. A true classic!

My abiding memory of this song is from 1985 as an apprentice driving 2 hours at night from my home to my work place in my beater with this on full blast. I wore my cassette of the wall out listening to the entire album over and over.

Nostalgic sensation, first time here! Two things I am VERY happy about when it comes to reactors: you did NOT stop this performance so that is HUGE! Second, you shed some real tears and, yes, David Gilmour's guitar will step right into your heart & soul so you feel what he feels thru his guitar..........and take you on a powerful, serene, tranquil journey into musical bliss, absolutely incredible, intense power and emotions here! I have something equal to this: please react to Lucy Thomas' version of "Hallelujah".......and be prepared for your 'religious' experience, LOL! Blown away will be an understatement......best version of this on the Planet

you should have been there. it was an experience. The crowd was losing it when the crystal ball appeared, then really lost it when it opened up. I can still feel the emotion. The greatest rock song ever.
