I really like the idea of dugouts. My hesitation has always been, what about heavy rain?
@windiwallace3442 Жыл бұрын
I've been observing her surroundings and since she's in a very dense forest/ jungle my thought would be it's very dense clay in the trees and everything would absorb and diffuse most of the heavy rain and it'll take a while for the water to seep down that deep but if she had plastic tarpaulins she could drape over insecure to the ground it would defuse the water away from her shelter

I have asked myself the same question when seeing all these videos of shelters built into the ground. If you're in an area that experiences heavy rain it will end up being a mess. It will fill up like a swimming pool. A big muddy swimming pool. If you want to watch realistic bushcraft shelter builds. Then stick with the above ground shelters.
