I moved to China a few years back...I had just come home from work and realized my roommate locked me out the apartment with my key inside. I was so tired and exhausted I just sat down on the door mat and started crying. My Chinese neighbor opened the door and asked me why I was crying and if I could understand her. I told her yes and that I didn't have my key to get inside. She invited me into her apartment, feed me some lychees, gave me some tissues and turned on the TV for me. I'll forever remember that act of kindness especially because I'm foreign. ❤️

"You cant conclude that you are not excellent at the age of 26. Will you be the same at 28? You are still growing up" I truly needed to hear that. Turning 26 in 1 month and God knows I feel truly disappointed at where I am in life. I will not be the same at 28.
@wiseweirdo92543 жыл бұрын
You should never feel disappointed at where you are in life, you should be proud of the progress instead. It’s understandable that everything may not be up to par for you at the moment but just keep it pushing and you’ll get there. Life isn’t definite, especially our choices, we never know where we’ll end up but we should still be grateful for the good and bad times. The good times keep you happy and the bad times is your motivation to reach that happy point....I hope all is better for you now!, and just remember to take life a day at a time

I would say don't feel disappointed but we all have a right to feel how we feel. Instead, I'll drop a bit of a story that relates to how you are feeling and hopefully, it will give you a different perspective on things. At the age of 37, I was not happy with where I was in life. Limited by things that I cannot change and never will be able to change(unless modern medicine leaps ahead by a few centuries), I looked around and took stock. I could either remain as I was, which was the easier road in many ways but harder mentally in the long run, or I could try to devise a way around the very real barriers that prevented me from changing things. It would mean taking a leap, having faith, and changing how things are normally done. I decided to take the leap. Would I succeed? I didn't know. Was I simply wasting money that I didn't have to waste and getting myself further into debt and stress? I didn't know. Was it even possible with the limitations that I have? I didn't know that, either. Could I change my entire life at nearly 40? I wasn't sure. I hadn't tried it in over 20 years. Could I still do it at all? I didn't know. But I had to try, right? It was try or continue as I was-unhappy with myself. So, I jumped and at first, I plunged. I had no idea how to do it. I couldn't just do it how others had. I couldn't just follow a manual or ask for advice from people without limitations. So, I adapted things. I took it at my own pace. I failed. Then I failed again. Then I tried again. It was a whole process and I wondered if it was worth it. Would I be able to do it, let alone continue doing it? It's now almost 3 years later, and in that time, I've had 9 books published, and I'm currently working on 3 more. I'm not rich(maybe someday) but it does help pay some bills. More importantly, I have done something that I never thought I could do. Is my life different from 3 years ago? Yes. Life changes every day, but it usually changes so slowly that we often can't see it. Each day, you will grow. You will make decisions. You will run into struggles. You will strengthen because of those struggles. And, in 2 years when you look back, you'll say, "wow. Things sure have changed." You just have to keep going, keep pushing towards that goal, and keep making the best decisions that you can. Eventually, you'll like where you are in that moment. Remember, we all started as infants, totally dependent upon others. It was our ability to learn and keep trying that allowed us to be the people we are today.
@javidgt83 жыл бұрын
@@sortaamy3003 I really appreciate your comment. That is truly a wonderful story. I’m sorry you had to struggle for so long but I’m so glad you were able to make something great happen for yourself. I hope your next 3 books do even better than the previous. I’ve heard a few stories here and there of people older than myself who have had struggles too. And while I do respect their stories and appreciate them sharing, it’s hard to get over the feeling over being overwhelmed by so much in life. I will say though your story was definitely a step above the others I’ve heard. And I truly appreciate you sharing it with me. To make such a change at 37. Wow. I feel a little inspired actually, which is a lot more than I can say I’ve felt after hearing anyone else’s stories or advice. I’m impressed by your courage and willingness to say the least. I feel as though I’m running out of time. Sure I’m still “young”. But there’s so much I haven’t done, that I should have done and could have done. In my culture, being married by my age is the normal, and I’ve been so overwhelmed in attempting(yet failing) to figure out my own life that I have barely even given thought to looking for a girl to explore life with. I have friends around my age who are already married, getting ready to have kids, some who already have kids. And while a part of me doesn’t want to have kids because I fear they will suffer mentally as I have, and for fear of the ever worsening society we live in, I also do love the idea of one day having son and/or daughter to teach about sports and cooking and cars and people and all the places in the world I want to visit. But then I realize I’m about to be 26 and I haven’t done all the things I wanted to do. I didn’t travel I haven’t driven the cool cars I want to drive I haven’t learned to be the chef I would love to be I haven’t even come close to finishing college and getting an actual proper paying job to do anything. How can I even begin to think about kids, and will it be too late by the time I do all these things? And it’s tough. My mind goes back to the dark places I hate so much and I find myself once again struggling in front of a computer screen reading the same page of the same lesson over and over again that I failed for the 2nd time. But like you, I at least made the decision to try. I sucked it up despite everything in my mind saying give up, I signed up for classes online even though I know how much I struggle without face to face learning, because I don’t have time to waste and who knows when this pandemic will let me back into a classroom. I signed back up for the gym the other day. I quit one hell of an addiction I’ve been using as a nonsensical waste of an “escape” for the last 4 years. It’s still tough. It really is. I’ve only just made the decision to fix my life the last 2 weeks or so. I’m still at a point where one bad news can knock me right back down to square one, back to giving up and going back to my addiction, and back to feeling sorry for myself. But I’ll be damned if I don’t give it my all and keep pushing. What the girl said in this video couldn’t be truer even if it wasn’t real. And what you said, is so real, and so deep, and so motivating. I can’t even remember half of what I’ve typed so far because I’m just venting after reading your comment. Anyways. The point is. Thank you. Every day since I’ve decided change needs to happen has been tough. I just got done with some school work that I truly just wanted to give up on. It’s people like you who share their stories that make me feel ashamed of myself for complaining. And that’s a good thing. It’s a motivating feeling. I appreciate every one of these stories, especially yours at this moment. Thank you for sharing Amy. I will be sure to remember this story and use it to remind me not to give up. I applaud you for your bravery and success and I truly wish you the best my friend.

@@javidgt8 thanks! And congrats on everything. You might see those steps you are taking as small, but I see them as huge things. That first step is always the hardest because change is scary. And you've done that. You've begun, and that matters. Life is overwhelming a lot of the time. And sometimes our minds do funny things that makes it seem so much more overwhelming. OCD, anxiety disorders, just general coping, it acts like a jerk sometimes. But the best(and hardest) thing is to start. You've started on that list- on YOUR list. Follow those dreams and passions and forget what other people expect your life to look like(easier said than done, I know, but live your dreams, not theirs). It's okay to not married. It's okay to marry later if you find the right person. Life is about the journey. It shouldn't be about fitting into a box or checking off a checklist. Just keep going. You're doing great! (And remember, even if you have days where it's all you can do to just survive, you're still doing great because you're doing the best you can. And that's okay.) And please, don't feel ashamed for complaining. Everyone's hurts deserve compassion, no matter how "big" or "small" we think their problem is. To them, it is a problem and that's all that matters. We all need to vent sometimes. Some of us need to verbalize it or write it down in order to feel better or work it out. There's nothing wrong with that. My story is small compared to many, but it's my story. Your story is your story and there's no shame in speaking about it.

Where people care more about their image and how others see them, rather than what's inside. @veawr It's not lol Another very similar things is that whenever there is a video talking about issues such as discrimination against women, there WILL be men saying "But men go through this too". No one said men didn't, they just weren't a part of the topic. No women ever does that when it comes to men's mental health or gender roles. That is NOT curiosity, it's the need to be included in every topic because people feel so entitled.

I remember comforting a young girl like this before. I cried watching this because I remembered that young girl. She was so down & had the same sentiment about work. It's funny how I reacted the same way as the passers-by in this bid by giving tissue & food to the girl & cheering her up by encouraging her to be better & to believe in herself. I guess it's human nature to care for someone in need, no matter what we're going through in our own lives. It's like sharing a piece of yourself, including your experiences & learnings. It truly is worth being kind. One word & one deed can mean a lot of difference to a person.

That's exactly what I'm going through right now, I felt useless and like I couldn't reach the level of my coworkers no matter how hard I tried, but hearing these words from those beautiful people helped me more than "You can doit better" of my own family. Thanks for all 💖

One thing that seems to be a constant question/concern in these videos is it they have ate, then going to buy food and water for them. It is rather heartwarming to see such compassion to not only help someone in distress but also to check if they are eating and drinking. In my country most people would walk past and those who would stop to help probably wouldn't see if they need something to eat never mind run to a shop to buy them something.

I remember a girl bawling in tears like 4 years ago on my college campus, I was very shy and not confident to try to speak to her but I really really felt bad. I spoke her native language as well so it would have been easier for her. I wanted to comfort her in any sort of way and I didn't, I didn't have the confidence to, and until this day I still regret it. I've never seen someone cry like she did, especially in public, she had so much pain in her eyes, I just cant take her face out of my head. She was on the phone and she seemed to have gotten bad news.

Very heartwarming, I wonder how many especially in todays current conditions are feeling overwhelmed..... not just in this situation of a new job..... Keep safe everyone and remember always it maybe tough now but when you come out the other side you will be so very much more stronger and wiser.... Be happy everyone.

I love this video so much. I have a lot of respect for the people that helped her because you never know what someone is going through or if they are having suicidal thoughts and just having someone to be there for them can change their way of thinking and can also make them feel better.

I know this is a kind of experimental but this is so accurate. Soon, I'll be stepping in to the bigger world. I'll be graduating from college and I know that is where the real world start. I have to work hard and be even stay far from my family to work. lately i've been stressing feeling a lot of pressure since adulting is not easy. I cried watching these videos, these ladies giving the best advice and I felt it. Thank you for this.

I find this so nice that people in China care about even little feelings of another person, understand them, and motivates them. I always want to help people and do too but, when it comes to others' little feelings I try to ignore them because I find it bothersome. But, watching this video made me realize that, every person suffers from things at times, and at that time little things also matter. From now on, I will not feel bothersome to help others when they go through these things.
