On Today's Episode:
As women, many of us have lived lives with moments that bring us shame, fill our hearts with pain, bitterness, and resentment. The thing is, you don’t have to stay in that mental space with negative thoughts and beliefs that say you’re not worthy, you have no value, or that you’re unlovable. Sarah Jakes Roberts is a woman of faith that breaks the mold and dares to own her scars, be bold, and walk in the truth of all that she is, from every mistake that she no longer allows to define her. She joins me today to help you flip the toxicity of the life you may be holding onto on its head and redefine what it means to create a meal worth serving from your leftovers.

QUOTES:
“Self-worth is believing in the value that I bring when I come into a room or space.” [2:31]
“I had to really come to this space where I realized I don't feel smart, I don't feel worthy, I don't feel valuable. This is my truth. And as painful as that was to say, it was also liberating, because I took the whisper that was haunting me and taunting me throughout my life and finally gave it a voice.” [5:57]
“I had my own poison that my insecurities were constantly pumping into my veins that fear was constantly pumping into my veins. And I realized that as long as I was poisoned, I could only attract poison.” [8:16]
“fall more in love with you than you do with the potential outcome that you're achieving or looking to achieve.” [10:47]
“I realized that just because a thought comes my way doesn't mean I have to accept it. To accept the thought is to say, I'm going to allow this to now become a part of my truth.” [15:06]
“We're not qualified to be in a relationship until we realize what I need a person in my life for” [18:08]
“at the end of the day, it's love that leads us out of places of fear.” [25:03]
When we know that I am betraying myself to be in relationship with someone, then I have to ask myself, what am I receiving to them that is so valuable, that I am willing to betray myself?” [25:22]
“I spend so much mental real estate thinking about what I want to go wrong with someone that I don't have time to consider what I want to go well with my own spirit and soul.” [31:09]
“Not every person in your family can feed you. Not every person in your family can help you promote growth, and to create an environment for you to incubate hope. Some people are blowing your candle out while you're trying to get the flame going.” [38:23]
“The truth is, I'm afraid, but I'm going to dare to believe anyway. The truth is, I'm not qualified, but I'm gonna dare to go after it anyway.” [41:41]
More About Sarah: In 2017, Sarah launched Woman Evolve a ministry that focuses on incubating every woman to her fullness. Since its conception Woman Evolve has been successful at reaching and guiding thousands of women to awaken healing, wholeness, and love for themselves and others.

A long as I am poison, I will attract poison. I needed this interview. Transformation is about authenticity and its hard to authentic when you've been holding and hiding it in for so long. This journey of purging the poison is hard, painful and full of tears but it has to be done. At 32, I am finally getting it done. - Church Girl in Recovery.

Stay strong girl. People project a lot of insecurities on to teen mothers. I have done it in the past, before I realize I was insecure about my own sexual history. And now? I've been told by my doctors not have children due to medical issues. And there is a big part of me that wishes I gotten pregnant when I was younger and had my health. Your parents really need their asses kicked for letting that happen .The person who impregnated you should be arrested. Including your parents if they were complicit in that happening. Seriously sue the sick person who caused that to happen. A 12yo is not at fault in any case!! Praying you continue to rise/heal from such a trauma! 💗✨

The greatest empowerment every woman should have is being empowered financially and mentally. This way you will be at the top of your food chain. Being finally free is one thing every woman should be looking after. I wasn't financial free until my 40’s and I’m still in my 40’s, bought my second house already, earn on a monthly basis via my investment and got 5 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future! Investing in the financial market is a grand choice I made. Great video! Thanks for sharing! Very inspiring! I love this.

I love this, I got pregnant @ 16 I instantly told my mom even though I was TERRIFIED, but I knew I needed her atm. She called me all types of bitches and h*es which I was far from. When my sister found out image told me how I was dumb asf . Basically I had no one in my corner ESPECIALLY the two women I had in my life. That changed me forever, I got pregnant again and instantly got an abortion because I couldn’t bare that experience again. From that I unknowingly developed in my head I’m not fit to be a mom, I’m lesser than them because I got pregnant. Now being 27 years I’m more gentle with myself. I constantly reassure myself I could be an excellent mom by how I nurture and treat myself. Thank you for this. I will watch this every morning to remind myself it will be okay because I will make it okay ❤

I’m so sorry they treated you so horribly and handed you the lies they believed. No matter what getting pregnant is a natural function and women have been ending pregnancies to help people who need to end their pregnancy since the dawn of human history. But treating a teenager counting on them for love and care and support in that despicable way with those horrible lies is incredibly twisted and wrong. I do not envy them the reckoning they will have in the afterlife for that horrifying behavior towards you. You are a glory, always have been, always will be. May you feel, experience, and express the kindness and acceptance you have always deserved.

"Heavenly Father please raise up young people to stand as leaders for the generations now and yet to come." This young lady is such an aspiration to humanity identifying, addressing and presenting the emotions, dichotomy, and generational spirits that actually cause our people to walk defeated. She is added to my prayer list and I will continue to pray for the Young Jakes-Roberts- an Awesome Woman of God. I am honored she is a woman unafraid to share her vulnerability and identify God's strength He supplies for her to rise and step-out of real life budding violent defense mechanisms onto solid platforms that lead to healthy choices.

I never understood why I didn’t believe in myself anymore, if I had an opinion and someone didn’t agree I would automatically think I’m wrong, I stopped expressing myself and would much rather have people think for me, or get my ideas from other people bc I didn’t think ANYTHING I did was no longer valid , I tried to get everyone to like me causing me to portray this fake version of myself all because I’ve been betrayed by people who I thought were “closest” to me. Really much needed right now as I start over with my life after leaving a toxic relationship
@jdavis6727
@jdavis6727 10 ай бұрын
I pray you keep moving. I left a toxic relationship of 25 years. I had 5 kids, no job, and no savings. Hadn't worked for 20 years and didn't know how I was going to make it, but God.…God overwhelmed me with His grace. Things didn't happen immediately, but over time. Without a college degree I went from being a part time receptionist to becoming the Executive Director at my agency. My children are still my priority and yet I have been able to not only survive, but thrive. There's no other explanation but God. He is faithful. I chose to trust Him over my circumstances. He is my provider. Keep moving and trusting Him and you will see. It may not be easy, but it will be more than worth it to have the peace and true (real) joy that comes from being close to Him. Knock down everything that draws you from Him and the toxic relationships will cease. We can't worship 2 masters.

"My scars added to my value and did not subtract from my value." Powerful point of view! I literally had my own incident with CPS where I was wrongfully accused of Neglect during an abusive relationship and it affected my entire career direction. I am so thankful to hear that story. 💞💞

For a woman who falls into the belief that she isn’t smart in her weak times, she is so well and beautifully spoken. I love that she doesn’t fall into “traditional” ministries and she is a powerful role model.

I can't get enough of this interview. I'm currently struggling to get out of a mental and emotional pit, so this interview is very uplifting. Looking back, it was during my moments of greatest weakness that I realized strength in strange places I didn't even know I had. This too SHALL PASS.

This message is timely and inspiring. Thank you for "daring me to become someone who produces their idea and sees it down to the finish line." Thank you for daring me to "become!" Double thank you for "Success is becoming obedient to what is in you, obey the nudge."

"Our strength is in our ruins", "you need to fall in love with all of you more than you're in love with the outcome or achievements". I'm getting emotional watching this because it speaks to me on such a deep level and is so relevant to my present experience. Much love to both of you for helping others in their healing journey❤🙏

This is so inspiring and I get all the positive but there’s also another lesson we can take from that “we reap what we sow” you will never be happy by destroying someone else home. For those ladies that are messing around with married man or women or people that are in relationship period if the person is cheating with you, he will also cheat on you just be mindful of that

In this month I prophesy into your life today, as you knock, doors of opportunities shall be opened unto you. As you seek, you shall find favour before men and God. As you ask, all your prayers shall be answered. May God bless you with what you prayed for, reward you with what you worked for, grant you with what you hope for and surprise you with what you have not asked for. So shall it be in Jesus name

“I dare to be amazing in all seasons because there’s another ME that I want to behold” 😭 👏🏾 💗 This was such an excellent interview! Whew! “How did I miss it?” Story of my life right now. Betrayal hurts especially when it’s by someone who you wanted to help heal. But God. Thank You 🙏🏾 Father, for the lesson so that I don’t miss it next time. I pray that the candle that my past try to blow out, You keep it lit always for Your Glory. Favorite part: “it takes a lot of energy to wish harm on someone” **focus on self and your soul** God will deal with everyone in His own way. Selah.
