For those of you who didn't read the books, some interesting, if disturbing things: The peasant boy she healed had cancer, on top of the general ailments and malnourishment. She put both of them to sleep and starting cutting out the boy's organs, using healing magic to regenerate them since her magic couldn't actually cure the cancer, the only thing she could do was essentially replace all the cancerous parts of his body bit by bit. In order to train Sophia (whom she sort of took on a surrogate mother role for) to have various regeneration skills...she literally ate the girl's limbs off. So yeah, if Sophia ever seems not exactly warm towards her despite how Kumoko took care of her and made her strong...well, that's why.

While she did harshly train Sophia as she knows that is the one way to get power in this world, so did she not intentionally eat Sophia, she only did that while drunk as she is a very bad drunk and doesn't even remember it afterwards. Sophia really loves Kumoko but is afraid of her and terrified of her getting drunk.

It does feel pointless, considering the anime does some back and forth time skip with the human cast. I would have preferred to just see Kimoko finally escaping the Labyrinth and then leveling up and obtaining a human body. I wish we saw her build her monster army and see more of her maturing during the 15 years (according to the time skip)

The Hero Skill in this series is by very definition Plot Armor at its finest. What the skill does is that it allows for a level one hero to take on a 99lv demon lord and win. But the cost is that it sucks up the surrounding energy to close any level gap thats between the demon lord and the hero which is why the hero always manages to win. The larger the gap, the more power gets absorbed. Bc this cycle keeps happening over and over again. The world has become so destabilized that it's on the verge of collapsing. The demon lord now knows this is determined to make sure the Hero Skill doesn't activate. Since the skill activation is caused by a hero and demon lord meeting, all she has to do is sit back and let her minions kill the hero. The situations reversed in this scenario. The demon lord is the good guy. The heroes are the bad guys bc they're too hopped up on cliches to see that the hero Skill is what's really destroying the world. Edit: unfortunately like I said before. The only solution for this problem is to keep killing the Hero over and over again. Bc of the Hero title their instinct is to seek out and kill the demon lord. That's why Shuns brother had to die. And now why he has to die. Until there's no hero left. But more will keep popping up only to get killed for the sake of saving the world. It's a nasty cycle.

The entire anime was just a "You had us in the first half not gonna lie" As the entire anime makes you believe as if everything is happening in the present but then the first clue that the anime is actually jumping around in time back and forth of when some characters are talking about how they found a reincarnate as a dragon egg when they were explaining how they found said dragon reincarnate character.

I really like how Podmus is a parallel to Spider-MC(her names much harder). She achieved immortality, and found a way around even soul destroying magic. She can’t die, not truly because she just has so many spawn that at some point it become impossible to kill her, especially when her skills transfer over. Podmus achieved it similarly, his memories, skills, and all else is artificially restored to a robotic shell, and has an army of clones of himself. Both cannot truly be killed unless every copy dies

So how strong is Kumomo now? She seemed pretty damn powerful by the time she became half girl-half spider and joined the demon lord. But that was 15 years ago with her presumably training more, and has evolved again to full humanoid and has merged a lot with the demon lord. She must be basically on par with the demon lord by now

It's been a while since reading but I finished the web novel, at this point she is essentially powerless as she lost all her skills when she became an Admin and left the system. However, this allows her to now learn magecraft (which I believe is called Conjuring in the LN) which is something only Gods use and is much stronger than the system's magic (which was also created using magecraft) and it lets them create their own unique spells. In the 15 years she learns these techniques and eventually becomes more powerful than she used to be, much much more than the demon lord but still behind Gulie

So it went back to his body & he rose up as a zombie. As he wandered back to the dining hall where the others were having dinner he realised just how much work it took to keep a body working when you suddenly have FULL MANUAL CONTROL OF EVERYTHING, _"what does a gallbladder do, anyway?"_ He got to the doors, pushed them open, breaking them as he hadn't yet learned to moderate his strength, & spoke his first words to the assembled wizards as they ate... _"I think I can metabolise alcohol."_

Hearing the back story of both sides puts a lot more perspective on the story than the usual hero side. I should find a way to see this anime one day, wherever it can be seen. The last battle in the +15 years side of the story was done so horribly to the point I'm not sure I even want a season two, but the LN is really good though and I highly recommend it, as for the manga it's good but it doesn't include any of the humans POVs but most people only really care about Kumoko (and maybe the human mage Ronandt, or maybe that's just me) lol

The novel didnt finish itself. The storyline start from this point mostly explain all the situation of this fantasy world. It was getting deeper and harder to solve it at the point, even for the author, that why story is still hanging. The novel pretty good and have so many things to think about. It seems like the author gaving 2 solutions, but herself also have to decide which solution just like people in that world have to. The story was so interesting that if it end up with some godlike overpower ending like other novels will not satisfy even the author herself. Telling more than this will reach the point of spoiler.

I watched this and unfortunately the animation is inconsistent and rushed in fact Kadokawa had to delay some episodes because I’m guessing the team for this anime was short staffed. But man does the story telling carry the dumpster fire animation. Like seriously, there are points where it goes from 2.5D animation to 2D and it’s a glorious mess. But still if the author wasn’t a god tier story teller this anime would’ve been booty cheeks bad.
