Thank you for making this available, Geraldine (Daisy) was my cousin by marriage. Her husband (my 3rd cousin) just passed yesterday at 95..I have looked for this movie before but could not find it, today I thought to try KZbin. This means so much to me..we grew up listening to her sing, her kind spirit and giving heart was one of a kind.

I can tell she's a kind and pure heart from the eyes...the eyes are the window to the soul...such a wonderful aura too...filled with so much compassion!

I enjoyed this very much. Thank You for sharing Spencer's creation. A true pioneer as a black man with cinematography.. All these black actors and actresses paved the way for so many today.. I give them their honor even today.

Thank you for putting these videos up. Good to see this print is in a bit better shape-- decent enough sound, good print. The movie has a bit more production value than many of these Black Cinema films from the 30's and 40's. Spencer Williams is quite good with a great fatherly screen presence

Wonderful piece of history from 1949! It's so funny how back then the acting was more exaggerated.

I've been a fan of Spencer Williams from way back when. **And I mean from before when it was 'Politically Correct' or 'woke' to do so.
