⁠@@imanightmare3017in all honesty - what child labour laws lmao??? afaik there’s only been one idol child labour law proposed, and i honestly have no idea if it passed or not, since the management and producing unions kicked up a massive fuss over it, saying it would harm them/companies and their profit. That law was meant to restrict the allowed working hours for children under 15 to 30 hours, or in other words, 80% of a normal fulltime job. Children over 15 was fair game for the typical idol working hours (so the hours like this show did, night shifts when filming mushows, day and night practice sessions etc etc). Its also very possible that that law only applied to working idols, and these shows have trainee constestans.

I knew about Tammy from her long hair in GP999, but it's a shame she didn't get more screen time. Same with her original team mate Cheukying from HK, those two ranked pretty high in the original 'skill' votes, but started dropping due to lack of screen time and I guess popularity votes.

Tammy was actually my top Chinese pick, followed by Roada Xu (her name on GP999 was Xu Ziyin, but I'd been rooting for her since the Chinese survival show Youth with you 2, where her name was Roada). I was so sad when they got eliminated/left the show, but at the same time in a weird way, it was for the best. Kep1er has been struggling, especially with such a shaky fandom. To anyone reading this comment, please give Kep1er's new song 'Shooting Star' a listen. As a fan from a broken fandom, who has struggled to keep it together, it would really mean a lot to me :') This is imo their best title track, and it's what I wish STONE and WAKEONE would've started with for Kep1er. I was a massive viewer and voter of GP999 myself, and am now a big Kep1ian! Ofc after the final lineup was announced the competitive fire took a bit to dwindle out, but I have come to love the final lineup of Kep1er and think the girls all compliment each other well. At the same time, I can acknowledge the crazy heavy bias in the editing, which, along with the broken voting system, contributed much more to the final lineup than it should've. The editing wasn't even the worst part: I could blatantly see right through it and went 'wow, it's so obvious, nobody could possibly fall for that' and yet it would STILL influence the voting. That alone really annoyed me, and made me feel I was bracing myself for a very foolish fandom by the end of the show.

Most likely that Tammy does not want to go into details or share unpleasant experiences she encountered during the program even if they happened as Tammy still wish to become a kpop idol in the future and she does not want to jeopardize her chances of doing so.

From the interview, I believe Tammy mentioned that the trainees are not suppose to disclose the behind the scene happenings on gp999 to outside sources. Mnet can sue those trainees if they found out about it. Most of the trainees on gp999 if they wish to be a prospective kpop idol or get offer from kpop agency in the future would mostly kept quiet about the behind the scene situation on gp999. Can Tammy talked freely about that and gain some publicity? Yes, but she would most likely not be welcomed to any kpop agencies afterwards. Kpop agencies generally do not like kpop idols or prospective kpop trainees to disclose behind the scene situations to the public, especially female trainees or female idols. The ones that did not mind sharing and exposing the behind the scene situations on gp999 were mostly trainees that mostly have low or slim chance to be invited by kpop agencies to become kpop idol in the future like the few c-group trainees on gp999.
