A harsh realisation for me was that just because he says he's a Christian and goes to church, doesn't mean A) he's a man of God and B) You are compatible. I think it's really easy to want to pair up with a Christian guy for the sake of pairing up, fearful that you won't find someone else. Moreover, not making a man your project! We all fall short, but if he is showing signs that he doesn't even want to understand the problems, get rid.

I often catch myself fantasizing when I'm bored, and especially when I'm in bed trying to fall asleep, creating "fake scenarios." Dang such a great conversation. There’s so many things that I’m being reminded of that y’all are hitting the nail on the head. One thing I’ll say is the importance of building a friendship first. This is the best way to truly take the time to get to know the person, being able to see their character in how they handle situations, and being able to talk about the fears and insecurities that we both might have. Also it helps us to see if myself and this person have to same vision and desire the same things in life which should include pursuing the LORD. Plus studies show that intimacy and all that other stuff increase by 80% based on the level of friendship we have. Thank y’all for sharing about this cause I do feel like alot of Christians have a hard time building a godly relationship bc it’s not really spoke about too too often. And to top off this novel lol, it’s important to have the mindset of marriage being our goal in courting, cause then this will allow us to take time to get to know someone and see if this is the person that I want to spend the rest of my life with, cause we are not just wasting our time out here awakening love with somebody who God never intended for us. cause this can cause us not being on the same page and almost fighting with the other person instead of working as a team when we should be fighting for each other. The best way to heal, is by trusting on Jesus. I think female friendships are important and are def a blessing from god, but we need Jesus to heal all along. Also it's important to put him in the center of your marriage. Both of you are sinners, but through christ you're a new creation, so you need him in order to love, heal and have a healthy relationship. Wanted to add this. But I love this episode :)

It sounds like you ladies need to iron the kinks out in your faith before seeking a husband you will find no fulfillment or validation in a man only Jesus and the same goes for men and if God is not first in the relationship then it will fail. A good test to see if they know true love and how to treat others is to ask them what the gospel is and if you don’t know what is it then I encourage you to find out. John 15:5 “I am the vine you are the branches if you remain in me and I in you you will bear much fruit, apart from me you can do nothing”. Everything you do together will be done for the glory of God remember that not trying to bring you down I just felt I had to remind you God bless all of you
