I have a lower sex drive than the average guy and that caused my girlfriend to think I didn't like her enough because I didn't try to have sex constantly like her previous boyfriends who, I quote, "couldn't keep their hands off of her". It made her insecure (even leading her to think that I would've preferred to be with other girls and only was with her because I settled for less), and created a domino of problems that eventually led our relationship to fail. The irony is I didn't know she felt that way until years after our relationship ended, to me she'd always been absolutely gorgeous and I loved our "moments of intimacy", and I only had eyes for her. So yeah, communication is key, as cliche as that sounds.

Holy crap this hit home with me. I have an extremely low sex drive for a man - or I guess for anyone, regardless of gender. I'm borderline asexual, and in the beginning of my relationship with my girlfriend it reeeeally made her feel super insecure about herself as a woman, and she felt undesirable and started wondering if I was cheating on her. We had a number of long and honest conversations about it and that luckily helped set her mind at ease. We've been married for almost nine years now so I think we managed to survive it. Communication really is key. Cliche or not, it is still true.

Most of the time low sex drive in men is from low testosterone levels which can lead to heart attack. You may want to get that checked

My wife and I have the same issue when it comes to sex. We have been married for 3 years and this year we learned that because of my adhd I have a huge sex drive, compared to her low sex drive. Trust me I totally understand. It's something we still battle with but this year we made progress by being more vocal about our needs to help us get and stay in the mood.

Uh does adhd cause sex drive? There's plenty of men with high ones who don't have adhd. And vice versa. I have adhd and I have a low sex drive.
@awesomel02

I didnt realize that my adhd would mean im seeking sex more for that rush but it makes sense!! I have that very hyperfocused attitude towards other things that give me a rush like books or movies i obsess over where I'll then go on a months long binge of only really focusing on them, rewatching or finding fan art or fanfics of it just so i can keep feeling that high. And thank you for speaking about doubts and communication in relationships that was very very insightful actually! Way more helpful than some people who think you just give up on a relationship. I feel like you do, that a relationship is more about the work you put in every single day with the person you choose than having some magical thing with no fighting or anything ever

It's Keely here! I was definitely on the kids train my entire life, and then as I saw folks around me have kids, I realized that the way their lives changed maybe wasn't for me. After a few years, my husband and I realized we're firmly on the no-kids train now, and that's okay! Life is great either way, and I love how you're just experiencing life as it is now and feeling out what you want as time goes on. There's no rush, and there's no wrong answer! Always do what seems the most fun? That’s terrible advice 😅 quitting your job and going on vacation sounds fun but you’ve bills to pay. Doing cocaine sounds fun but that road quickly leads to disaster and ruined lives. (I’ve watched it first hand.) I am an adult so I am very aware that you may mean do the fun thing *within reason* however if a young girl sees a girl talk video, goes to the comments, and sees this advice she could begin to make some very poor choices based on crappy advice. Please be careful what you are putting online.

I've always had the higher sex drive in the relationship and it usually caused an argument and leads me to feeling bad about myself in some way. I also have ADHD and find it difficult to focus in the moment 😂.. And I feel the same about communicating with friends. I was in a relationship where we were together 24/7 and he didn't understand the need for alone time. He always thought something was wrong with him and I didn't want to hang out with him which wasn't the case. I just needed some time to be with myself, decompress, and organize my thoughts. It gets to be too much sometimes. 🤗

I've really realized after being in a relationship for almost a year that I just really want to hangout with my girl in my free time since we don't see each other everyday currently. I have a hard time making plans with other friends because I want to make memories with friends but also I want my girl to experience the fun things too. My girl never feels disappointed when I spend time with my other friends, I just personally feel like I'm giving up time with her if that makes sense.

I didn't do this with my wife, because I was ignorant. But, before you get married, have what I call the non-romantic marriage talk. That's where you tell her what you expect and she tells you what she expects. If you can come to an agreement or compromise on most things, I think you'll have a better marriage.

Being the female partner with a higher sex drive can be confusing and frustrating at times. The expectation being that your man would want you as much if not more can make you feel unwanted, rejected etc. It is 100% a need and requires communication to get to a place that works. Married 11 years. We're 35 with 2 kids. And as a mom, I'm gonna say that having children definitely changes life. In some ways, for the better - if you're the kinda person who enjoys having kids. And in some ways, for the worse. Depending on your lifestyle, personality, background, support system etc. And that IS reality. Would I have chosen otherwise? No. But would I try to talk someone else into wanting kids? No. You do you and take your time and be uncertain and make whatever choice works for you! Love your channel! Would definitely enjoy more content like this 😊

I feel like I’d be hesitant to do it regardless if I’m in the mood or not and wouldn’t want to disappoint my significant other more than I probably would to begin with. I feel like in this day in age, it’s hard to find people who think that way too

It all completely depends on you and your partner. Make sure to communicate your feelings well, so that no misunderstandings happen. It all depends on so many factors, it may just not be your thing which is completely okay, or you may not have met the right person that would make you want such things. Just don't worry about it too much, and make sure to communicate well with any possible partners in the future. And definitely make sure to think long and hard on it before coming to a decision as well, doing that with someone can be a huge step and can alter or end relationships if the relationship hasn't had time to properly develop. It's a thing you can never take back and can have great regret if it's rushed.

Everything that could go wrong went wrong lol. From my 3 tier wedding cake collapsing the night before our wedding to no one bringing any batteries for the wedding music to play. His beautiful family stayed up all night making me another cake which was so much better than the original and thankfully there was a plug so we got to play music. We have a very amazing marriage and I would do it all again and again. I love him so, so much. Love ya'll xoxoxo Ginger from Wills Point, Tx.

I think with the long distance thing what a real expectation is, both people set a time, could be 6 months, could be a year, could be a year and a half. But, if the couple isn't a lot closer to each other within that set time frame, then both people need to walk away. It's a tough thing to do but if two people see each other twice a year in person, without that presence people start to drift apart. Sure there are maybe some exceptions to the rule but in all reality talking to someone in person is much more beneficial to bonding than watching someone on a screen or just texting.

Maybe we’re different but I think complimenting behaviour or skill works better for guys. “You’re pretty good with computers!” “You handled that perfectly “. “You’re funny, you’re making me laugh!” Stuff like that. So I can prove to you that soul mates do exist and that my wife is my soulmate... I only knew her three days before I asked her to marry me and we have been married for ten years ... On top of that I met her when she was 12 and I was 15 and I walked out of a door and I thought wow that is such a pretty girl I'm going to marry her ... Then I felt weird cause you know she was 12 never spoke to her I left... Several years later I had been of drugs for a year... But I still had a drinking problem and I couldn't keep a job ... One day I woke up from a drinking binge and I looked around... I was in a filthy house dog poop all over the floors, mice was running around, and cockroachs was in the thousands... I realized how bad I was and that I was going to get back on drugs... So I got down and I prayed and I asked for help... 2 days later I was set up on a blind date 3 days after that I asked her to Marry me she said yes .... A year later I found out she was the 12 year old girl I said was going to marry me .... She is everything that I am not she's my total opposite but every where I fell she picks me up and I do same for her .... She is without a doubt my soulmate and without her there's no way I would be where I'm at now

I can relate to not being sure if you want to have kids (you guys would make awesome parents BTW). I have a disability called Apert Syndrome, which is a abnormality of the hands, feet and face. I've had numerous surgeries to correct it, and it's also genetic too, which means if my future wife has a kid, the odds of me passing it to them are at least 50% last I checked. I also have to find someone that likes me for what's inside as opposed to what's outside.

The issue with wanting children or not is a conundrum. Because you might not think you want children then you become pregnant and you have the baby and it's the biggest most unexpected blessing of your life!! For the most part I can venture to say it's a blessing but I can understand if people don't want children, everyone is different. I have family who don't want children or in one case even a relationship and he's happy! But if you have children yes you give up some things but you have insurmountable memories with your child to make up for it. So you lose nothing, you only gain much more. Imagine your child's first word, first smile... you just went to Disney imagine that adventure with your child! The memories are an extension of the memories you have now. If you don't have children or you can't have children there's still a world of memories you can create, so don't get me wrong. My parents were married when they were 19 and they had me when they were 20. Two years later my brother came along. It was the best years of my life growing up! We had so much fun, so many many wonderful memories!

I feel bad for the guys that I talk to because I give some mad mixed signals. A lot of the time, I meet a guy who I think is really cool, and I just really want to be their friend. I get a friend crush, start constantly talking to them, saying complements, and then they understandably interpret it as me flirting and everything gets awkward. That being said, if you want to make a move without being too pushy, I do agree with Meghan, that is a pretty good technique.

I was in Jack's spot, as a dude with a low sexdrive it has caused quite a few arguments. I dated one girl who even if I was not even close to the mood, she would wait until I was asleep and then basically molest me and I'd wake up in compromising positions. We ended up breaking up due to a weird shared hallucination. But she also had a neurological disorder and couldn't feel a lot of anything. So sex was one of the few things she could still enjoy. We just weren't compatible. And ever since my ex wife tried to kill me I still can't even approach women, so I do appreciate if the woman makes the first move.

My partner has a much lower sex drive than me, and I've honestly had to learn how to be my own partner sometimes. I am very monogamous so even though I have the higher sex drive, running off to sleep with someone else just to scratch that itch makes me feel icky. So really, my best solution has been to lean into my me-time. And I also have a new collection of, uhm... "accessories" to help with my me-time. It's not like it's a perfect solution, but I can definitely say that it makes the times I do spend with my partner feel a lot more special and intimate.

My sister and brother n law made the decision not to have kids. They like kids, and neices and nephews, but also enjoy traveling and coming and going as they please.

I've been there. And I had to break up once with a girl because she wanted and expected it at least w or 3 times a day every day.

What is your ethnicity? You look part Irish [maybe Welsh] (probably 85%) and part Black [maybe Jamaican]. Whatever the mix, it's a great mix.

Evidently the person that asked about if you waited to marriage isn't a big fan. Because if they were they would know you told Jack at the first meeting OH I'M getting me some LOL . Megan you are beautiful. And yes I used to have that problem in my marriage where I was wanting it all the time and he was too tired from working all day😂😂

Do you think you have a hard time committing to a rule because as a child you were given rules with bad results and negative feelings? I see so many parents use discipline wrongly.

12:47 oh my gosh I’m so glad someone has a similar experience. I thought it was just me bc me and my partner are also flipped! I never realized maybe it was also my ADHD serotonin seeking, but it makes so much sense now that you say it! Do you have recommendations about what to do in these kinds of scenarios bc obviously if one of us doesn’t want sex, we’re not going to push the other, but for me it is difficult not having it often at no fault of my partner at all!

Advice from a guy, don't feed their ego. Feed their identity. A guitarist is more excited to hear that he is a good guitarist, than for some chick to simply say he's attractive. It's technically feeding the ego, but it means way more than pretending a guy is some model or funny guy.
