This is basically torture p*rn. I skipped through most of it. The torture the husband put her through makes me want to take a bat to his knees. I can't believe after all that, even when he forced the divorce on her he refused to let her leave to he point of putting her on a chain in his house. And he had the audacity to ask for another chance after she barely escaped with her life. I think the ending is actually good. No one got what they wanted. Since she had Alzheimer's I wonder if her memory had regressed for her to want to see her abusive husband before dying. And he got to see her die twice. I hope he suffers from the regret for the rest of his life.

The amount of abuse that the FL has to endure is disgusting and foul! According to these dramas China hates women! The FL self esteem is always in the negative! The that always drives me crazy is when the FL finally escapes the abuse and torture. She starts a new life and is finally happy! Yet for some unknown reason she decides to come back and work with the ML! No matter how supportive generous, and loving the supportive ML the FL always rejects him and goes back to the abusive ML! The ML treats her like dirt but because he does 1 nice thing for her at the very end all is forgiven! Horrible message to send!

And yes your conditioned into one type or another a little at a time and you don’t have avenues of escape. It costs money to leave and if you have kids it makes it harder. Your an object to an abuser someone to do your bidding or else. In a way it’s a torture. So unless you have gone through it don’t belittle those suffering through it. Just pray or find ways to help them : teach offer education, mental health work opportunities, support system.
