I’m so mad I messed up my times and missed my chance to meet Allie X at the Columbus show! I hope I get the chance to meet you someday! Thankfully I still got to see the show and it was incredible. I was in complete awe that she was really right in front of me after so many years of only seeing her on my tv screen or phone. This album is so important to me, it nails such a dark,synthy sound and is completely perfect. I don’t know that I’ll ever listen to another album that will be better than this one. I do want to say justice for Hardware Software, the instrumental for that song is so damn good and original, I’ve never heard anything quite like it. Staying Power is also another poignant song for me cause I’ve also dealt with living with extreme chronic pain that I have to manage every day, I also usually deal with my problems with a dark sense of humor so a song like this really resonates with me like no one else does. Truly Dreams is my favorite on the album because of how hopeful it is. With the results of this election making living and existing in this world uncertain, this song gives me so much hope to keep fighting, hustling, and dreaming. Thank you so much Allie for an unforgettable experience with this album and recently seeing you on tour. I can’t wait to see what you do next.
