Hiking Dartmoor | Wild Camp

Wild camping and swimming at Dartmoor this trip, awesome route across the moors and bagging a couple of tors whilst out. I really enjoyed exploring a small part of Dartmoor whilst staying with Oli in Devon - such a beautiful camp spot next to the river Dart and welcomed by some lovely weather.

Lucky things! I was about to have a night out on Dartmoor last summer and then I learnt that the National Park authority had banned wild camping for the duration. Because idiots who probably don't camp anywhere in normal times decided they would head out in droves to the country, make a huge mess and leave all their rubbish behind them. Great to see the two of you show everyone how it should be done.

Hiya Becky. Looks like you had a great time. I go to Dartmoor camping and hiking every year and love it there. The scenery is lovely and some great walks to be done. We didn’t wild swim in the Dart though because it was very high and fast when we went. We had to cross it though which was hard enough. Got very wet! Wow that pastie looked amazing. The footage was exeptionally awesome this time. Great views pictured in best quality! Love that! I want to jump in a river too these days, i hate the heat, love the winters. What are these backpacks you‘re carrying? I always use Tasmanian Tiger products, like the raid pack mk3 or the combat pack for day hikes. Yours look very comfortable because they have these straps that pull the top of the backpack to your bodies. The TT models don‘t have that unfortunately! I mean, after 5 miles or so, its all the same anyway, at least with good products. Love the two of you using your time to have a great day! Cheers and thanks for this lovely video. Never mind BIG-FOOT, those cattle in the fields can be quite dangerous, many Brits are injured and fatally wounded by cattle each year, especially with Bulls and females with calves. Glad you had no issues and they permitted you a day pass. Maybe a video on cattle awareness would be a welcomed safety documentary, with a real cattle rancher and his best advice when hiking the outback near moving herds. All the best MOOOOVE IN ON !!
