It was thrilling watching you traveling around everything that I know, and it was funny listening to you comment on everything that I take for granted but do appreciate too! That’s what we Americans say about your beautiful Cotswolds!! My husband and I got a big laugh when you were talking about how expensive eating out is here, truly a sin, and they wonder why families can’t afford to eat out! The other laugh was when you visited one of our favorite hamburger places, “In and Out burger”, you actually ordered one of our favorites and Animal Styled It too, plus a milkshake👍👍Delicious! The best part of the Montage is their pool and spa, along with the walking trails along the beach. The hotel is wonderful during Christmas and all lite up so beautifully.

Thank you for visiting my hometown of Newport Beach, one of the best things about Newport is being able to see the ocean everyday while driving down Pacific Coast Highway to grocery shop at Fashion Island. Josie, I’m so happy you finally made it to my hometown of Laguna Beach. Montage hotel is one of my favorite beaches there besides 1,000 steps beach where I grew up. It looks like you had an amazing time in Newport Beach too. The Volvo is the dream car and very luxurious too! I think I want one now! I’m looking forward to Part 2 as I also lived in Santa Monica by 3rd street promenade. Brentwood was my fav shopping and love Montana street. Enjoy every minute.

Hello Josie, this is absolutely beautiful... I come from the Czech Republic that has been heavily affected by floods. The most destructive one since 1997. In the last two days many people in my area have lost everything (but their lives fortunately). There are still many people without electricity, drinkable water, basic supplies, many towns/cities have been cut off. But people are helping one another and that's great. I feel very blessed because I'm one of the lucky ones that haven't been that affected. Your vlogs are a great escape and comfort to me.

Sitting here in my home in Southern California..I live mid way between LA & Santa Barbara, just over the hill from Malibu where that 4.7 quake hit and gave those of us who live very close to malibu quite the shake. I love seeing my home state through the eyes of a visiter. I got a chuckle out of your shock over the prices, my darlings, you were traveling through the MOST bougie sections/places in California past “billionaires” row..old monied towns like Montecito (Oprah lives there). So cute to see you refer to morning “clouds” over the pacific ocean, we refer to that as a “marine layer” which as you rightly pointed out burns off by mid morning to reveal our glorious sunshine. Those fires, oh my gosh, do you know they were arson fires? How awful does a person have to be to deliberately set fire to such beauty…endangering/killing/burning homes, wildlife & people incl. fire fighters. As someone who has also lived in London AND the English countryside, I think, as Jane Austen would say, both have much to recommend them. Please come back and bring Charlie ❤❤❤

Wow great vlog in my neck of the woods! The Montage and Pelican are the 2 most expensive hotels…fun fact the Pelican Hill round pool is the largest circular pool in the world with 1 million mosaic tiles. Food is great but very spendy. I’m in England and it’s so cheap compared to California!!

Josie I hope you enjoyed your time here in Southern Cali. You were in my home town Laguna, seemed so weird seeing you drive the streets and visit all the local places I drive and visit everyday. Always fun to see someone enjoying the place you live through someone else’s eyes for the first time. I’m sure the same for you when people come visit the Cotswolds. You happen to be here in California when we were sadly in a state of emergency. Hopefully you missed the heatwave that caused all these fires to break out. We had a week of temperatures over 100 degrees all throughout California. Yes there are fires in CA….my childhood home burned two years ago in the Napa valley….kind of scary. My son, a firefighter in Los Angeles. Nice you could visit some of the beach communities in this state….hope you felt at home. Things very overpriced. Up here, where I live, in Napa, Restaurant Corkage fee= $95.00! We have an RH Restaurant up here, with lovely large lounge areas and large Chrystal chandeliers and Olive trees inside for decoration !
