Yes. That emotional devastating ITNW version was at the Japan concert in Dec 2014, just months after Jessica's desparture in Sept. And they stopped performing the full choreo and upbeat ITNW version from that point on, until they did it again for the 15th anniversary fan meeting concert for the Forever 1 promos.

The Tokyo Dome was Jessica’s dream venue to perform at. If I remember correctly it’s the first time they performed their debut song without Jessica. Additionally, if you see in the beginning of the Into the new world performance they left a gap in the middle for Jessica and closed it up later in the performance.

And its so sad that they kicked her out months like 2 months before this performance when Jessica said that she was excited for this concert like 2 weeks before they kicked her. Sm should've mediated this more but whatever

fun fact, into the new world first ballad version on their first fanmeet (including jess) but yeah, this ballad version (tokyo dome) was epic, they actually sang ballad version again in tv station but the feeling is different. this (tokyo dome ver) not just about how they successful in japan but about lost friend:)

@ Baby Baby ballad - the fans were holding up signs that say “우리오래가자“ which means “let’s go for a long time”, which is what made them cry. That was like in the middle of the concert too! @ Oh! - they performed on ice because of Kim Yuna killing it at the 2010 Winter Olympics. They incorporated a lot of little movements from her 007-themed Olympic routine into the choreo for this performance. This was at Lotte World, a large indoor/outdoor theme park

Damn someone threw you in the deep end with that ITNW recommendation 😂😭 That performance is always hard to watch for me. It was such a difficult and confusing time for the fandom so it must have been 10x harder for them. We didn't know wtf was going on then and we still don't now. All I can do now is enjoy Soshi with and without Jessica and support all 9 of them

You know what? Even though I already watched ITNW ballad version many times before, i always cry with the reactor when they cry too. Coz all the emotions I felt during the first watch still hits me so hard. It's always OT9 in my heart but my eyes only sees OT8.

It was a very nice reaction video. thank you! It would be a waste not to see Girls' Generation live! There are many things that cannot be conveyed through music videos alone. I live in Japan, and thankfully Girls' Generation has come to Japan many times and held wonderful live concerts. When the concert ended, many in the audience shouted, "Thank you Girls' Generation!" Girls' Generation's live shows are cool, cute, beautiful, and moving, and just like you, tears fall for no reason. I attended the Tokyo Dome performance in 2014 and was moved to tears by the majesty of 'Into The New World (ballad version)', the girls' singing ability, and their thoughts. Girls' Generation especially loves this debut song, and we were able to hold our long-awaited performance at Tokyo Dome after the release of our best album, and it was difficult because Jessica left the group and we had to hurry up to become an 8-member group. I think that the feeling of Jessica's absence makes this performance historic. The audience was overwhelmed and many cried. We can only see this situation in the following video. All of Girls' Generation's ballad songs, both Korean and Japanese, are amazing! Please give the reactions of all ballad !!!

I watch Into The New World Ballad ver more than 10 times and always cry, this is the first concert without Jessica and the first time they sing this without her.....TOKYO DOME Concert is their dream and when they finally did it Jess not with them, you noticed they leave a middle spot for her

And there it is.. The ballad version of ITNW from Tokyo Dome. I was one year into my K-pop journey when soshi’s Tokyo Dome show was happening and Jessica’s departure hit me hard so it had been almost 3 months since she had departed GG{to answer your q; the Tokyo Dome concert happened in December of 2014 so it had been 3 months since Jessica had left}, but there was a fan taken video of them doing ITNW at Tokyo Dome, so I clicked on it and i cried. Like I love all of their concerts but The Best Live at Tokyo Dome is the hardest ones I ever watched and I hardly ever got through it because it’s so emotional. I’m going to see if i can get through it this year for the 10th anniversary of the show. They would perform that version for their 10th anniversary fanmeet concert, A Holiday to Remember, as well, as Phantiasia in Seoul. They didn’t perform the original version again untill their 15th anniversary fanmeet last year. The Genie remix version is my all time favorite version of Genie. They’ve used that version 3 times; it was the opener for their 2011 tour in Asia and it was in their setlist for “The Best Live” at Tokyo Dome. At the end of their “Oh!” Performance, I believe they were also hinting their 3rd mini album , “Hoot” at the time as well, because that had a lot of arrow movements as well.

That Tokyo Dome concert was few days afterJess left.and the only concert i never want to rewatch😅😅😅 coz it's too saddening ..the feeling of lost still feels new even after all this years

Personally I think it's fine to react to this without being given too much context because that could also bias the reaction in a negative way. This ballad version is so impactful that even with just a little context any empathetic person can feel for the girls during this performance, at least that's how I felt while watching it for the first time. So yeah it might have been better to to react to this after being a bit more familiar with SNSD but it's also ok to do it now since this is a performance that can also make you way more attached to SNSD as a new fan.

Omg, you have to check out the original Ship, Taeny, TaeYeon and Tiffany. Roommates for 12 yrs. Tiffany moved back to states 2018 until 2022. Great video, Just a couple of Besties, 1. ty again! Oh they did Lost in Love, live stage and Lady Marmalade at one of Japanese Concerts. 💜

I know there is a lot of material, but I also recommend you to watch their 2011 Run Devil Run+ Devils Cry stage and please don't skip the Japanese MVs, their whole Japanese discography sound great.

IDK all the history but I know the first video was at Jessica’s dream venue. They pursued this dream together, all of them. Damn SM for whatever happened to break up SNSD. This performance is so heartbreaking, gets me EVERY DAMN TIME. #OT9
