Facts : during the boys comeback era a lot of groups and artist delayed their comebacks due to How everyone is so hype at GG announcement. Everytime GG make a comeback or release a teaser naver Korea google is always down. They were called by global media as Girl group queens due to how powerful this comeback impact WW. There is an English version of the song, but the song is kind of nonsensical when you take a look at the lyrics on the whole. They actually performed it on Letterman and Live With Kelly in early 2012. Yeah they were making a US push years before groups like BTS and Blackpink. Also funny you mention The Boyz, because they actually performed this in 2018 for KCON in Thailand. It’s one of the best and most respectful covers of a girl group song by a boy group I’ve ever seen. Many people might forget, but Jessica is also a main vocalist of the group. The entire SNSD main melody and sound is built around her voice. She sings a lot of the harmonies and backing vocals while Taeyeon sings the belting parts. That's why the 0t8 materials didn't sound like they used to because Jessica's somehow neutralizing voice was not present anymore.
