the girls decide to see what the fuss is about with comic books, and in the end buy copies of a thor volume and well it shows what the fuss is about and results in an argument about thor's hammer, so who was right.

magic in most fantasy is like a computer software creating universe. Magic is like hacking or modding it and taking those codes to create something for yourself. Just like certain codes create grass, clouds, trees and other things in game. What if you used that code to make a tree appear on the desert. like cheat code "give me 100000 gold" Thor's hammer simply has less amount of codes when Harry's want has got more codes.

Then, in order for each of them to figure out if their arguments were right decided that they should just go to Leonard's and Sheldon's apartment and get into their comic books to look for evidence about why they were right. Harry Potter wands are quasi-sentient. They don’t have minds of their own, but they can perform certain acts of will, like choosing their witch or wizard. After all, they’re organic in nature. Actually Penny’s question about Thor’s hammer in space was actually answered at one point in the comics. I forget how it got there, but Thor’s hammer was in fact lost in space and Ironman was the one who found it. But he was unfortunately never worthy of it, so all he could do was “push” it through space. He couldn’t wield it or bend it to his will, but he could push it through space since there was no up or down. That being said he had to avoid basically all fields of gravity until he was able to get back to Thor.

Ironman goes through all that to bring the hammer to Thor and even then he is not worthy of Mjolnir, nor is Peter Parker, Marvel's most endearing and selfless character. Mjolnir as the Asgardians has some very twisted ethical values, if any.😂😂😂

I've come to realize that the words "Magic" and "Science" when dealing with fiction are flawed terminologies; "MAGIC" is a flawed one the most basic is making the impossible possible, but the thing is "SCIENCE" is all about trying to explain the impossible to make it possible both are infinite and simply require you to take something that was done on a small scale done in real life at some point or another (Like say creating a cold circuit to create an unlimited source of power or creating fire and static electricity from friction) and then just apply it to some kind of machine or weapon and that's the explanation

Mike Burnsy Howard was/is sexist, but has a chance to move past it with Bernadette. As the series progresses, he sees the value of feminism, and in his flawed way, embraces the chance. Reminds me of the character Steve Dallas from Bloom County. TBBT isn't my favorite show, but I like the fact that the writers have chosen to make the characters four dimensional.... they live together in community, and gain insight from one another. That (and not the mainstreaming of geek culture, another good theme of the show) is why The Big Bang Theory holds water for me. (P.s., I am a failed undergraduate physics major, but I dearly love the subject.) I grew up with long lived sitcoms like M*A*S*H, All in the Family, and WKRP. Those shows were among the first in the genre to sacrifice randomizable syndication playback order to tell a long story about characters who really do grow. The Big Bang Theory has obvious aspirations to that form of long-arc character driven storytelling.

1) Exactly which wand is Penny referring to? In theory every wand can decide. And Harry had more than one. 2) Even if Harry couldn't pick up the hammer... he could surely Expelliarmus it out of Thor's hand like nobody's business. (though part of me suspects he would be worthy, he was never as bad as movie Thor started out, and doesn't seek power) 3) ...if Harry uses magic to remove the hammer from Thor's hand, and the magic is Harry's, did Harry pick up the hammer? 4) If Harry's magic removes the hammer from Thor, and someone else got the rebound, would that make them worthy, or just a good catcher? Would the power then be split between the catcher and Harry, since it was a team effort? 5) It does seems kinda silly that Harry's wand can decide and Thor's hammer can't. That suggests wandmakers put more thought into their craft than Odin did into testing his son... and all other worthy. So even calling it Thor's hammer is inaccurate. He's really only renting it. Someone else worthy could take it from him. Which makes it a lot like the Elder Wand. But more bulky.

@ahlpym
@ahlpym 5 жыл бұрын
@@maaw7648 I think a decisive Celestialsapian like Alien X would notice when his opponent tried to time travel away, and would follow that opponent. Especially given what the show has explained about the Sotobro effect. If they wanted to argue that Green Lantern is powerful enough to outright kill Alien X, then I might have listened (I don't think he is, but comics get crazy sometimes), but suggesting that GL can win just because he can time travel is ridiculous. I'm also not fond of the idea that GL's constructs out-speed the big bang (and hence the Omnitrix's fail safe) while Hal is controlling them, just because he could coordinate a search of the cosmos, where he probably wasn't actively controlling each probe. To paraphrase the Flash: The ring may work at the speed of light, but Hal can't think that fast. Tl;dr: The Ben 10 vs GL DB was BS.

It is Odin's magic, so it would be Odin's requirements. Even Thor had to pass several trials to even be given the hammer. 5. Red Hulk is kind of a dick.

Sentry gave Hulk the fight of his life (up to that point). Thor is more powerful than that version of Sentry, since he fought that crazy Sentry from the Siege and put up one hell of a fight.

Except when it comes to hulk. Hulk got angry enough to pick up and then throw Thor's hammer right back at him. When someone unworthy picks up the hammer, you better not hold back, or you're dead. However, Thor was originally made to be stronger than hulk b/c the idea was the only thing stronger than a man was a god. In fights of Thor vs Hulk, they've had a few draws.

It’s Odin’s enchantment, therefore Odin decides who can lift Mjolnir. Think of Mjolnir as a combination lock and worthiness as the combination as defined/decided by Odin. Odinson knows the combo because he is worthy, but when he is not, it is because Odin has changed the combination.

As for red Hulk I never read the comics so I can't offer much other than a quick look and see that since Thor had his hand on Mjolnir by extension someone could carry the hammer.

Also it likely that a society that is like older cultures, then it is likely that there is sexism in the original spell. So yeah that could very well be the case.

Ok. before 2014, Thor was able to pick up the hammer because of Odin. Odin was the one who wanted the hammer made, he's the one who put part of his own life force energy aka the Odin Force into the hammer and he's the one who later put the "who ever holds this hammer if he be worthy shell possess the power of Thor" on the hammer. So the hammer decides who is worthy cause it has some sort of will of it's own that came from Odin in the first place. Before 2014 Odin never had any problems picking up the hammer if anything he seemed to have more control of it than Thor. First instance once when Thor was flying through the air by using the hammer he fell to the ground because Odin had called it and the hammer flew away from Thor towards Odin and in the story Fear itself when Thor and Odin talked about leaving Earth and Thor hit Odin with the Hammer, Odin said drop and Thor was unable to pick up the hammer. And the Odin force is in the hammer cause in 2007 to 2008 when the hammer was damaged because Thor used it to kill his grandfather he with Doctor Strange's help was able to repair the hammer cause they used most of the Odin force that was in Thor to repair the Hammer. And the Hammer does decide who is worthy even if that person does have the Odin Force within Him cause in 2001 to 2002 when Thor possessed the Odin Force and decided to take over the Earth he could no longer pick up the hammer. If Thor is holding on to the hammer, including the strap a person could pick it up or if they were in outer space. I say before 2014 cause at the end of the story event The original Sin. Nick Fury told something to Thor where not only he but everyone including Odin were unable to pick up the hammer, which means that the Hammer does have some form of will of it's own which is similar to Odin's mind since it was based off it and as such upon learning whatever Nick Fury said decided that only Jane Foster is worthy and that one time when Loki lifted it because his moral compass went 180 on itself along with many other people due to a spell that the Scarlet Witch and Doctor Doom cast.
