I think it's different due to being part Saiyan. like once a Saiyan reaches a certain age, they are a teen and later an adult

I think maybe it’s a Japan translation error thing? Teen Goku is also clearly DB little Goku, who I think was probably like 10. With Gohan I think they just stuck with it for so long since it’s his iconic name.

Why would they ? He didn't go SSJ2 when that happened, he went SSJ1 and when they were on his profile the most notable part is him being a vigilante. No reason to bring it up.
