You and your friends seem sooooo nice. (off topic but you might have the nicest teeth I've ever seen...lol) It's to bad when you were in the St.Lawrence Market you didn't try Peameal Bacon on a bun. It's a Canadian Staple and St.Lawrence Market is known for some of the really good places to have one.

Who are you fooling!!!!! You are Canadian! Correct? I see some of the following in you. I was born raised and unknowingly forced into a odd form of a “stranger’s eloquence.” Mannerisms, devolved or evolved into a perpetual “Im so sorry”, particularly if you aren’t or don’t recall why to apologize. And the robotically spoken, especially when nothing is given, spoken, protected, won (exception of playing, winning or losing at hockey) or in the giving of advice when none is required. Ok I am long winded, Why? Because I am 50% American, born to a New Yorker and they were loud, unthankful, rude and non Canadian. So thank you for everything(for what I’m not sure), if you ever need any money the next time you return, or a personal chauffeur, a goaltender (you never know), or as a personal tourist reference, which is utilized only up here. Thank you Thank you thank you……

It was a great video until the racism showed up at U of T

Umm racism? The old folks who started the U of T were in a society that was 99% white with the only blacks being loyalist blacks in Nova Scotia and the escaped slaves from the south at the end of the Underground railroad. Canada was at that point about 99% white. So just based on numbers alone it is unlikely a black face would show up on the wall. Now does that mean there wasn't racism? Ya, there was, it was not perfect. But spare me this "racism because there are no black faces". Got news for you, there was no Italians or Catholic Irish up there either...or Ukrainians ...or Jews ...because there was a lot more of those groups in the turn of the last century. There was not many blacks here period, and yes, maybe the ones who did aspire to higher education were not represented. But is that racism or a numbers game? The latter would still be an issue even if there was no racism. Canada thank god has left 99% of the racist crap in the trash can where it belongs. But judging the past on today's values ignores what they did get right to build the society we now question things on race. There is no one race but the human race and in 100 years you will see black people on that wall of regents and educators. Dwelling on the past doesn't allow you to look forward.

I'm glad you liked it There... BUT, Toronto is NOT representative of Canada. It's where 80% of all new immigrants end up, because somehow, that city is the only one that anybody new knows about... It created a very big RARITY in places to live, and made prices go up to crazy levels. Canada is a mix of different lifestyles and paces of living. From the East coast slow living, to the West coast's luxury and wilderness (and PRICES!!!, B.C. stands for Bring Cash), and up North to the territories and beautiful nothingness and solitude. Thinking Toronto is it, would just mean that you miss out on 90% of our culture and experiences. If you want to enjoy a change of scenery, see architecture that you wouldn't ANYWHERE else in North America, and live a mellow life, with the best nightlife and leisure spots in the country, try Montreal. If you want to see a better Seattle (mostly), visit Vancouver. And if you want to visit almost every country on earth in one city, Toronto is it (OVER 50% of the people living there were born OUTSIDE of Canada). You HAVE to come back and check out the rest, you'll be surprised at the differences all along the country's Trans-Canada Highway, or up in the Yukon, the N.W.T or Nunavut. BTW: WE are also AMERICANS... We just didn't ever think of taking the name of the whole continent for ourselves, since we aren't alone here... (Canadian Sarcasm, not directed at you... ) PS: Just so you know, all of those KZbin channels telling you that you HAVE to speak french to visit Quebec, are plain ignorant, and probably never actually set foot there. You might want to learn it if you decided to LIVE in a smaller Quebec town, but Montreal and Quebec city are just fine for English speakers. Cheers. Have a great DAY...
