the real-life story to this song is nuts US army & German army soldiers join forces as a united task force to look for lost German & SS units to tell them to stand down & that the wars over well at a German castle held by an SS unit there are French political prisoners when the SS units leave one of the prisoners breaks out of his cell than out of the castle he then finds the US & German task force they go to get the rest of the prisoners but the SS units show up so basically Us army, German army & French civilians take up arms against the SS units & hold the castle till help arrives
