I have that book, it's very good for when you are first starting out, also useful as a reference resource too.

Hi, thanks for the information. Could you recommend some newer books for begginers as Jon duckett's books are now getting outdated.

Hello Mir! Thank you that you found it helpful! The question is: which direction you want to go? what do you want to learn? If you are like me (or even haven't found a direction yet) and just want to progress with HTML&CSS and mostly JAVASCRIPT. Well there are quite a lot of books out there, that might make it feel a little bit intimidating. Here are a few books that I own/use and find them good/useful: 1.Javascript Programming Head First (O'reilly) -also there are HMTL/CSS Head First (O'reilley) 2.Learning Web Design, by Jennifer Niederst Robbins 3.Object Oriented JavaScript by Stoyan Stefanov 4.Building Android Apps using HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT, by Stark (O'Reilly) I could make the list longer... but it's good to be smart and efficient... plus of course there are online classes... one that I followed and found it great is: JavaScript: Understanding the weird parts. (Udemy) hope this helps!!!;-)

Hello Zozo! Thank you for asking. Though I am not an expert in cyber security (not yet anyway), I can point to a beginners book: www.amazon.com/Cybersecurity-Beginners-Raef-Meeuwisse/dp/1911452037/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_14_t_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=A064K7K44YBDVR859ZQ1 As for courses there are simply to many. If you are looking for free sources: www.cyberdegrees.org/resources/free-online-courses/ -or the one from UDEMY : www.udemy.com/the-complete-internet-security-privacy-course-volume-1/ (which is 10 $ now) Hope this helps a bit. ;-)

Thanks for the video. I am new to coding. Fresh with no experience. Would the html and css book by Jon duckett be a good starting point? I dont wanna learn outdated info and have to re- learn or correct some bad coding habits. Let me know what you think. Thx

Hello Chris! thank you! Indeed the books are a good start on this journey. Also if you combine them with a few other things ( join one or more of the many coding academies online, for more practice, or include a few other online resources). Try this book as well: "Learning Web Design" by Jennifer Robbins. I could extend the list of books, but that is more than sufficient. Jon Duckett books are very good to understand things/concepts very clearly, with practical examples. I hope this helps! Have fun coding! ;-)

Inspiring video! Me is thinking to learn code and change my career for a while! So have you quit your job as an architect or doing code on the side ? Best of luck to you :)

Hello Amna! And Happy New Year!!! Thank you for asking. No, I haven't given up my architect profession. Coding is just another part of me, of my own development. It helps me be better at many things. ;-) Best of luck to you, too!!! ;-)

Simply Ana-Maria Happy new year to you too :) You are absolutely right about using it as a tool to be better in other things ;) I am a doctor but I like to try new things every now and then for the joy of learning new skills :D it is such a great feeling !
