Holly makes a great point: why be mean? Why pick on someone for their choices good or bad? Mean people are hurt people that’s why. It’s on them not you. I say live and let live. Stay in your lane and mind your own business.

Ugh those critics were awful! I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even watch the show because they said some ridiculous stuff. They couldn't get facts straight and were just judgmental and biased, and likely jealous. I'm with Holly on [many] boomer women being mean; they can be just as misogynistic as men too. I think people who watched the show regularly saw that you girls were smart, driven, and definitely not lazy; plus, gorgeous, fit, fun, thoughtful, talented, accomplished, and kind- which is more than could be said of those critics! 💗

It is amazing how much we can talk about this show that happened almost 20 years ago now. I’ve read Holly’s book, I watched her recaps on her own channel, and here I am absolutely obsessed with this podcast that I just discovered a few days ago, still completely interested in everything you guys have to say about each episode. I really like hearing other people’s point of view too like Marston & Stacey & the mansion staff. I feel like we could have a “girls next door-con” and it would be a success.

Both ladies look so beautiful here. Can I just say, the narrow mindedness of these critics about what they've seen or perceived from the show is absolute projection. It's like they automatically have their minds made up negatively about the situation with Hef and any of the girlfriends lives.

I was around 12 or 13 when the show aired and the fact that they tried to make Kendra look like the "nice" "real" one is laughable to me. I found her to be spacey, vacous, annoying and not honest. Basically just saying whatever, whenever. True colors definitely came out in the show eventually lol. Holly was the funniest and quirkiest (in a good way!❤) while Bridget was the sweetest and most sincre.

Holly is very smart. She would be a good psychologist. Bridget is also smart, but since she is so naturally nice and doesn't have the edge that Holly does, Bridget is seen as a bit of a lightweight, when in reality, she is also smart. I think Holly is more of a deep thinker, and has experienced more psychological pain.

The woman was jealous. The hate always seems to come from a certain type of bitter way older woman. I know Holly didn’t love her time at the mansion but women like that lady would kill to have had that opportunity. But guess what? She never cut it and had to work for the paper and hate any woman that doesn’t/didn’t have to work. So it’s triggering to see you guys 😂. IMO, the boomer women probably feel like your show takes them back decades in terms of what they saw being achieved by women since the 1950s. Thats why HH preyed on young girls, grown women tend to see through his BS with more life experiences.

I know this is late righting this, but I hope you see it. It seems to me Hugh was a he because you were the #1 girl he was supposed to be your source of joy and enthusiasm. He was supposed to be the sun in your life and you had to revolve around his light. When you showed joy and enthusiasm for something else you were not in control, and forgot your place in his universe and he couldn't have that.

I watched your show and loved it but I didn’t like how Bridgett was portrayed if I had to choose she was my favorite, she always came across to me as so sweet, Holly made me sad for her because I felt she really wanted to be Hugh Hefner but he was playing with her and I kind of felt like he enjoyed treating her bad hyping her up and then letting her down which made me angry and from the very first episode I thought Kendra was a clueless idiot that was picked for that reason but as the show progressed through the seasons, my opinions of U2 did not change, but my opinion of Kendra change to that I thought she was doing it on purpose and conniving to get more screen time so glad you’re doing this podcast now and I’m glad to see that my feelings:opinions of you two seemed to be accurate

Sorry to say, but it sounds like Anastasia's personality was very selfish and obnoxious with no regard for how she effects other people. The story about running out of the party making people look for her, making other people do her hair and makeup when they were busy, and the other about going to black Angus and getting her sister in trouble really exemplifies this. Maybe it was immaturity, or call it little sister syndrome, I just hope she's a better person now. It looks like the sisters are really close now so I guess it's all good.
